My name is Graeme McKeown and I am the Joint Venture Partner for Hove and Tunbridge Wells. Originally from Bangor, N. Ireland, I have worked as a veterinary surgeon for over 10 years in the SE of England after qualifying from The Royal (Dick) Veterinary College in Edinburgh. Prior to opening my first practice Companion Care Tunbridge Wells in 2010 I ran my own successful veterinary company in addition to working as a full time vet. I have experienced all aspects of veterinary practice and management from sole charge and emergency clinics to referral hospitals and professional consultancy services.
I have a passion to provide the highest of standards in customer service and clinical excellence and my main interests include Orthopaedics and General Internal Medicine with a special interest in Feline medicine. Our practice philosophy is to provide a modern, forward thinking, warm and welcoming practice, where every pet is treated like it was our own, and where clients feel like part of our family.
I am very proud to be opening my second practice - Companion Care Hove in January 2012, and am looking forward to the challenge of making it as successful as Tunbridge Wells has been.
My name is Lucy Bridger and I am a practice partner here at the Hove surgery. I qualified as an RVN in 2004. Since then, I have worked in many small animal and exotic veterinary practices, as well as doing night shifts at emergency clinics.
I enjoy all aspects of my job as a nurse. I have a rescue Labrador called Ruby.
My name is Laura Battersby and I am one of the receptionists at the Hove surgery. I previously worked in the health and fitness industry, but decided to pursue a career working with animals and joined Companion Care Hove in February 2012. I live in Hove with my daughter Ava, and my three favourite boys, my husband and my beloved pets, Blue the Budgie and Saxon the rabbit.
My name is Andy Mason and I joined the receptionist team in May 2015. I previously worked in the Pets at Home store since it opened in 2012. I live in Hove with my two cats and enjoy going to the gym and walking along the seafront.
Graeme holds a total of 6 RCVS recognised post-graduate certificates including Small Animal Medicine, Small Animal Surgery, Feline Medicine, Endoscopy & Endosurgery, 2 RCVS recognised Diplomas and 4 European post-graduate certificates.
He also one of the few triple accredited RCVS Advanced Practitioners in the UK and is happy to accept referrals or second opinions in any of the disciplines listed.
