We are open for essential care only
In line with government guidelines, we are only offering medically essential appointments, so please contact the practice team before travelling. Our opening hours may also vary, so please monitor our webpage to keep up to date with the latest information.
We are taking steps to help keep you and our colleagues safe:
- If you do need to visit, we ask that only one person per pet comes along, to help reduce the number of people in the waiting area at any one time.
- Social distancing is crucial at this time. When arriving, you may be required to call ahead and wait to be invited in by a member of our team. You will be informed if this is necessary when you call us to make your appointment.
- Once inside the practice, we ask that you please respect a two metre distance from our colleagues and other clients.
- We are only accepting card payments to help minimise contact between you and our colleagues.
- If you can’t visit the practice and are concerned about your pet’s health, please contact us to discuss available options.
We will continue to share regular updates here and on our Facebook page. We thank you for your patience at this time.
Meet the team
Dr Finn Seydewitz
Joint Venture Partner and Veterinary Surgeon
I graduated from The University of Veterinary Medicine in Vienna, Austria, in 1998. After a short time in practice I came to England to work first at the PDSA in London before moving into mixed practice in Norfolk.
In 2001 I joined a practice in Salisbury where I was in charge of the surgical department. In 2007 I joined Companion Care and opened the Winchester vet surgery.
Whilst enjoying all aspects of surgery I particularly like orthopaedics and reconstructive surgery. After the surgery has grown so well over the last 6 years I decided to open a second practice in Andover with 2 colleagues.
At home I like to spend time with my wife and 2 children. We have a Labrador called Josie, and a cat called Lillie.
Tomasz graduated from The University of Life Science (Warsaw) in 2005. After 4 years working as a small animal vet in his hometown he came to England. Before he joined our team he worked for a year and a half in Southampton. He enjoys all aspects of being a vet but loves internal medicine.
Sam qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in London in 2016. She moved to Winchester to join the team and is enjoying all aspects of being a vet. At home she has a guinea pig called Freddie and a cat called Bo. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her husband, going for long walks and reading.
Emba has two Samoyed dogs named Echo and Nala and two cats called Ace and Chilli. She is qualified as a Veterinary Nurse from the Royal Veterinary College. During her training, Emba was a regular visitor, as she came in for placements to gain experience for her degree. Emba has embarked on the Advanced Diploma in Veterinary Nursing, a prestigious award which will deepen her knowledge in Veterinary Nursing in all areas.
I have always had an avid interest in animals, so after leaving school I completed my national diploma in Animal Management, at Sparsholt College. I have been in practice ever since and I completed my Veterinary Nurse training in 2013. Along the way, I rescued a Plummer Terrier called Riley in 2010 and my Miniature Dachshund called Minnie came into my life in 2016.
In my spare time I enjoy taking the dogs on long walks, especially to the beach and spending time with friends and family.
Monica joined the team as our Receptionist but has taken the plunge to study Veterinary Nursing. Monica studied Animal Management at Sparsholt College some time ago before a career in catering. Working with animals was always a dream job for Monica. In her spare time she loves spending time with her husband and her rescue kitten Gracie-May, fundraising and volunteering for animal charities and knitting.
Paula joined our team in April 2017 as a veterinary care assistant. This is her first position in animal care, her career to date having been in management accounting. As a lover of animals, she is enjoying this work immensely and is keen to embark on further education in this field.
Paula and her husband live with their menagerie, comprised of Chesney the donkey, Alan, Stewie and Brian the goats, Shirley and Shaun the sheep and Pat the cat. In her spare time, she loves cooking, seeing her friends and growing her own vegetables. Whilst the upkeep of their animals keeps her fairly active, she also likes running to keep fit.
Since a young age I have been interested in animals and have family pets, they consist of a Springer Spaniel called Charlie and three cats called Oliver, Daisy and Rodney. After completing school I completed a Level 2 and Level 3 Extended Diploma in Animal Management at Sparsholt College. During my time at Sparsholt I also had a part time job as a stable hand for 3 years which I gained a lot of knowledge from.
I always wanted to work in veterinary medicine and therefore joined Vets4Pets Alton in February 2016, I then transferred over to Companion Care in Winchester from April 2019. I have a great opportunity to further my knowledge and I am currently training to be a Veterinary Nurse. In my spare time I like to walk Charlie and on some occasions ride when I have time.
