Meet the team
Dr Finn Seydewitz
Joint Venture Partner and Veterinary Surgeon
Mag.med.vet MRCVS
I graduated from The University of Veterinary Medicine in Vienna, Austria, in 1998. After a short time in practice I came to England to work first at the PDSA in London before moving into mixed practice in Norfolk.
In 2001 I joined a practice in Salisbury where I was in charge of the surgical department. In 2007 I joined Companion Care and opened the Winchester vet surgery.
Whilst enjoying all aspects of surgery I particularly like orthopaedics and reconstructive surgery. After the surgery has grown so well over the last 6 years I decided to open a second practice in Andover with 2 colleagues.
At home I like to spend time with my wife and 2 children. We have a Labrador called Josie, and a cat called Lillie.
Tomasz graduated from The University of Life Science (Warsaw) in 2005. After 4 years working as a small animal vet in his hometown he came to England. Before he joined our team he worked for a year and a half in Southampton. He enjoys all aspects of being a vet but loves internal medicine.
I graduated from Bristol University in 2000 and have worked in the local area for a number of years. I enjoy all aspects of General Practice but have a particular interest in Internal Medicine.
When I am not at work, I enjoy going to the gym, Latin American and Ballroom dancing with my husband, Mark, and spending time with my two sons. I have an elderly Spaniel, Marley and a rescue cat Jake.
Dominika joined the team in November 2025.
Joanne Simpson
Head Veterinary Nurse, DipVNZS, APVN (zoo), Recover Rescuer Certified, Fear Free Certified
RVN GradCert AVN & Clinical Coach
I started my animal care career back in 2013 with a medical internship at the Toronto Wildlife Centre in Canada, working with a huge range of creatures. From there I spent several months in Australia working primarily with fruit bats and kangaroos.
After returning to the UK in 2016 I studied veterinary nursing at the College of Animal Welfare in Leeds.
I love all aspects of veterinary nursing but my primary passions lie in emergency medicine and care of exotic species. I also have a vested interest in canine behaviour, particularly care of anxious and fearful dogs, since rescuing my own anxious dog 4 years ago, this led me to complete the fear free certification in small animal and avian patients.
I have recently joined the team at Companion Care, Winchester as their head veterinary nurse where I will also be handling the training of our student nurses.
When I am not at work am usually spending time with my husband and 2 dogs (GSD cross Anubis and Chocolate Labrador Orion) or video gaming when I get a free minute.
Emba Barnes
Registered Veterinary Nurse, FdSc VN, BSc advanced VN, DipAVN (small animal), NCert physiotherapy, clinical coach, RVN.
I graduated from the royal veterinary college in 2014 and started clinical coaching at the end of 2014. I enjoy guiding our diploma and degree students through their nursing journey and helping them to develop their practical skills. I also have a keen interest in orthopaedics and rehabilitation therapy having completed my advanced diploma in 2019 and most recently a certificate in physiotherapy.
At home I have a Samoyed, two chows, four cats, an axolotl and lots of fish!
I have always had an avid interest in animals, so after leaving school I completed my national diploma in Animal Management, at Sparsholt College. I have been in practice ever since and I completed my Veterinary Nurse training in 2013. Along the way, I rescued a Plummer Terrier called Riley in 2010 and my Miniature Dachshund called Minnie came into my life in 2016.
In my spare time I enjoy taking the dogs on long walks, especially to the beach and spending time with friends and family.
I joined Companion Care for my veterinary nurse degree placement year in 2019 and then stayed on once I qualified in 2021. I have since developed an interest in radiography and surgical nursing and hope to continue my nursing education in these subjects. I have a very energetic German Shorthaired Pointer called Olive, who you may see or hear while at the practice. At home you will find Olive either running around playing with her toys or snoozing upside down while I enjoy going to the gym.
I qualified as an RVN in 2023 but have been in the industry for over 5 years beforehand and have a keen interest in dentistry. I have two chihuahuas and a Westie who are my world! We like to go on walks with friends and snuggle up on the sofa!
I started at Winchester Companion Care in January 2022 as a student vet nurse. After graduating the following year I was super happy that they kept me on as an RVN.
I love everything about being a nurse but particularly enjoy consulting and have a keen interest in providing advice about nutrition and neutering, about which I like to keep my knowledge up-to-date with the most recent medical evidence.
My other career is as an accountant, so when I'm not working at Companion Care, I'll be happily working away at a spreadsheet.
In my days off I like to go out on my motorbike, a Yamaha R7 called Liz! And spend time with my ginger cat, Colin, or my fluffy rescue dog, Lunar.
In a previous life, Anna was a financial accountant, but came to veterinary while looking for a career change into something which could help others. She used to rescue rats, has owned a pony, but currently just have one crazy dog, Lunar.
In her free time she loves long walks with Lunar, crafts, reading, and spending time with friends.
I am a qualified veterinary nurse currently studying at Sparsholt. I completed my placement in 2023 and have continued working here ever since. I have a whippet called Mylo and in my free time I enjoy spending time with friends.
I joined the team at Companion Care in October 2019 as a receptionist. I am now currently training to become a Registered Veterinary nurse at Sparsholt College which I am really enjoying!
In my free time I enjoy playing with my cat Lottie who I rescued from Companion Care and spending time with friends and family.
Emily joined the team in May 2024 as a receptionist. She has started her journey to become a Registered Veterinary Nurse with Sparsholt college.
I enjoy spending time with my cat Stanley and my family.
Samantha joined the team in June 2015, she worked as a qualified HR (CIPD) Professional for several years before joining the Companion Care Team. In March 2024 Samantha completed her Diploma in Veterinary Leadership & Management. She has two part Siamese cats called Lois and Clark. She enjoys running, playing badminton and socialising with friends and family.
Eloise joined Companion Care in October 2009 after her maternity leave as receptionist. She was promoted to Reception Manager in 2013, so is responsible for the daily running of the reception area. At home Eloise enjoys baking and making novelty cakes with her son Alfie.
I started at Companion Care in July 2024 after working in the Health and Wellness industry for 10 years. I love animals and their wellbeing and wanted to take on a new challenge of learning and being involved in the veterinary industry. When I'm not at work, you can usually find me in the gym or in the woods with my dog Nacho.
Nicole joined the team in December 2022.
Dani joined the team in September 2024.
Angelina joined Companion Care Vets in March 2025 after volunteering at a local guinea pig rescue and developing a deep appreciation for the animal care industry. During my free time, I enjoy spending time with my African Pygmy Hedgehog, Akira.
I started with Companion Care in June 2025 after spending the first half of the year travelling, wanting to come back and throw myself into a new challenge!
In my free time you'll find me in the gym on snuggled up on the sofa with my little pug Kiedis.
Ally joined Companion Care in July 2025 as a receptionist after retiring from a 10-year career as a professional ballet dancer in Estonia. After training away from home at the Royal Ballet School since the age of 11, she has now returned to Winchester with her fiancé Gus to start a new journey back in the UK and is keen to restart all of her favourite interests such as horse riding and finally getting her drivers license! When Ally is not at work, she enjoys cooking or baking, going on a muddy dog walk with her mini dachshund Panko or watching the F1.
