About us.

At Companion Care Eastbourne we offer high quality and affordable pet care. We see an array of interesting cases and can offer advanced services including cardiology, behaviour, dentistry and laparoscopic procedures. We also offer complementary therapies including acupuncture, physiotherapy, K-laser treatment and subcutaneous mass assessment with HT Vista.

We are a bright and spacious well-equipped practice with separate cat and dog wings allowing for separate kennels, theatres and prep areas to decrease stress for our patients.

We are happy to offer advice regarding any cases that you may wish to discuss, or if you would like to come and meet the team and view our facilities, then please do get in touch.

For any referrals, we will ensure that referring practices are kept up to date with the progress of their patient’s referral and also provide clinical updates whilst the patient is with us. Upon the patients’ discharge, we will arrange for the full clinical notes and relevant reports to be sent onto the referring practice for their records.

Cardiology

Investigation of cardiorespiratory disease including murmur investigation, collapse, irregular heart rhythms and coughing. The surgery is equipped with an Esaote MyLab Fox Ultrasound machine providing high resolution images for both echocardiography and abdominal ultrasound. Along with a SECA Bluetooth ECG unit, we have access to 24 hour ECG “Holter” recording and interpretation.

Dental

We are proud to offer advanced dental care and advice for the treatment and prevention of dental disease, using a range of specialist equipment including crown restoration, and dealing with abnormally shaped teeth.

Endoscopy

With our flexible and rigid endoscopy options we can offer a wide range of procedures including Laparoscopy, Video Otoscopy, Rhinoscopy and Gastroscopy.

Laparoscopic Surgery

We offer a cutting edge laparoscopic procedures to aid in minimally invasive diagnostics and procedure using our state-of-the-art equipment.

Dr Ricardo Canha holds the GPCert(endo) and can take referrals for rigid and flexible endoscopy using our state-of-the-art Karl Storz Telepak II endoscopy unit. Video otoscopy, Rhinoscopy and upper GI studies are routinely performed.

Acupuncture and Western Herbal Medicine

Holistic Veterinary Care looks at the whole animal when making a diagnosis and devising a treatment plan. The holistic approach aims to bring the whole animal back to health rather than just treating symptoms. Holistic therapies combine well with conventional treatments, and in many cases conventional drugs are essential to success. The whole animal is treated with one or a combination of the wide range of treatments available.
