Meet the team

I graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2000. I went on to gain a wide range of experience working in four very different small animal practices in the south-east. It has long been my ambition to run my own practice and I am looking forward to bringing together all of the skills that I have acquired in those positions to provide the best possible service to the patients and clients of Companion Care Redhill.
I completed the General Practitioner Certificate in Small Animal Medicine in 2005, but also particularly enjoy surgery and exotic animal medicine. Away from work I enjoy travelling, eating out and cooking. Fortunately I am also a keen runner which helps to compensate for my more indulgent pastimes!

I graduated from Bulgaria in 2013. After a few years there I realised that my passion to help animals could be better served by moving to work in the United Kingdom. I joined Companion Care Redhill in 2017 and I adore my patients, clients and the team that I work with. In 2022 I became one of the Joint Venture Partners at the Practice.
I have a particular affection for large dogs. I myself own a gigantic dog, an Newfoundland, and after a long day at work there is nothing better than a fluffy hug from her. Outside of work I love to go swimming and travelling.

I graduated from the University of Las Palmas, Spain.Joined the team in April 2017. Learning every day , keeping my focus and interesting the daily cases is a process. To be good at something, you need persistence and dedication.Medicine has been always something that I was aspiring since a child. My first patient was a muppet squirrel: Kate , the worst Christmas gift I ever had as a child.
I particularly enjoy Ophthalmology cases. Eyes are the best gift that we and our pets can open every morning.Working as Veterinary Surgeon in UK , is something that came in my mind impulsively. We live in a world where talent is distributed equally but opportunities are not !More importantly would like to thanks to every single patient and client giving me the chance to be part of that journey.

Hi I’m Lorna and I’m the Head Registered Veterinary Nurse here at Companion Care Redhill. I qualified from Plumpton College in 2008 and have been at CC Redhill since October 2014. In 2016 I completed the ISFM Feline Friendly Nursing Certificate with Distinction. In October 2018 I completed the 2 year ISFM Advanced Certificate in Feline Behaviour. I love working with cats and I have a soft spot for sloths. I am the practices “Cat Advocate” and strive to make sure that your cats get all the attention they deserve while at the practice.

I have been nursing for 10 years and qualified in 2008. I started work at Companion Care in December 2014 after my maternity leave. I have two children and a cat called Basil.

I’m Gemma I qualified in 2016 from Plumpton College with a Foundation Degree in Veterinary Nursing. I have always wanted to work with animals and aspired to become a Veterinary Nurse. Once qualified I worked abroad in New Zealand for a year mainly in a small animal practice. I enjoy all aspects of nursing. Since being back home I have completed my Blue Cross Pet Bereavement training and am able to give emotional support to those who have lost their beloved pets. I have a rescue cat called Wilf and 2 rescue rabbits called Molly and Honey.

I started here in February 2017, starting off as a VCA I am now a Student Veterinary Nurse in college and working my way to becoming a Registered Veterinary Nurse. Growing up I have always been around animals, I have done a lot of work experience in different sectors of Animal management, but liked this role best. I have a dog and two cats at home as well as two fish tanks and a koi pond, with the occasional bird that the cats bring in.

My name is Holly, I am a VCA here at CC Redhill. I started working here in June 2018. I joined the veterinary industry in 2016. I previously worked as a receptionist at a practice in South Africa where I got to see a lot of exotic animals and work with a lot of charity organisations. I gained a lot of experience, and now, I am fortunate enough to be part of a nursing team where I can continue to learn and develop my knowledge on animal care. I have two of my own rescue doggies who are very spoilt and love going for long hikes up the mountains. I am 100% a dog person, but have a love for all fur-creatures.

COVID UPDATE PLEASE READ
During the Covid-19 pandemic our priority has been to ensure that we continue to deliver appropriate care for our patients in a way which also remains as safe as possible for both our clients and our team members.
Very early on in the pandemic we made the difficult decision to not allow clients into the consult rooms. This action was taken not only to keep the team safe, but also to try to limit the effects of the Test and Trace system or our already thinly stretched team.
Whilst we are aware of the changes in the law on social distancing and mask wearing, the majority of our team members are not yet double vaccinated and the nature of our work often necessitates very close-contact in enclosed spaces. At Companion Care Redhill we are therefore continuing with many of our previous Covid-Secure Policies, both to protect the health and safety of our team members and also to ensure that we have an active workforce who can continue to care for the health and welfare of the patients under the care of the practice.
Masks
Our team members will continue to wear face masks, and we politely request that you also wear a face covering wherever possible.
Visiting The Practice
We are now allowing owners to come to our reception area and one person at a time into a vet consultation room. However if you are invited into the consultation room we would ask that you wear a face mask for the general safety of our staff as the space is quite confined and may potentially involve some close proximity to the vet.
We would like to thank you for your continued support, understanding and patience at what has been a very difficult time for the veterinary profession as a whole.
