Meet the team
I qualified as a Veterinary Surgeon in South Africa in 1999 and shortly after moved to the UK. Having spent my first two years in mixed practice I then chose to work solely with small animals. This is not my first involvement with Companion Care Vets, having previously been a partner in the successful Milton Keynes surgery from 2002 until 2007, when my wife and I decided to move back to Worcestershire to be closer to family. Having spent some time working for various veterinary practices in the area and being a regional clinical manager for a national veterinary out-of-hours provider, the opportunity arose for me to re-join Companion Care when Pets at Home decided to open a new store in Kidderminster in April 2011.
I enjoy all aspects of small animal practice but particularly enjoy the interaction with clients and to building long lasting relationships with them. When not at work, I enjoy spending time with my wife, two children, two dogs and two cats. I also enjoy outdoor pursuits especially mountain biking and fishing.
I qualified as a vet From Liverpool University in 1993 where I gained my BVSc (Bachelor of Veterinary Science Degree) and joined Companion Care Kidderminster in 2016. In my spare time I enjoy going for long country walks, working in the garden and also visiting gardens to get ideas and inspiration. Previously I enjoyed travelling however now a days, tend not to go too far because of our elderly cats.
Hollie is a registered veterinary nurse during her time with us at Companion Care Kidderminster she is enjoying consultations and getting know our clients and their pets. Additionally, within the surgery Hollie is a bubbly member of the team who enjoys a range of clinical tasks including anaesthesia and supporting your pets when they are admitted into our wards.
In Hollie's spare time she is the proud mum of two guinea pigs and is a keen artist, leaving the team in awe of her talents.
I first began working at Companion Care in 2017 as a Veterinary Care assistant where I helped on reception as well as assisting veterinary surgeons and the clinical team. I loved being able to work with both our support and clinical teams to be able to provide our clients and patients with the best care.
I have always wanted to pursue a career in veterinary nursing and I am currently in my final year of veterinary nurse training. I particularly enjoy getting to know clients and pets through consultations, as well as being able to participate in other clinical tasks such as inpatient care, anaesthesia and recovering patients after surgical procedures.
In my spare time I love going on long forest walks exploring with my crazy Dalmatian.
I first began working at Companion Care in 2015 after graduating from Salford University with a degree in Wildlife Conservation & Zoo Biology. I had always wanted to work with animals and veterinary science was of large interest to me during my studies.
I started as a Veterinary Care Assistant; assisting at reception & with the clinical team as needed. I loved the variety of each day with both the support and clinical team, and getting to know all the clients and their pets. I took on additional responsibilities in 2017 and had the opportunity to learn and develop further in the role of Practice Administrator. Most recently I took on the role of Practice Manager in December 2020. I really enjoy working to help every member of the team and our wonderful clients & their pets.
Out of work I enjoy long walks in the forest, reading, writing, spending time with my friends and family, going to watch live music & caring for my crested gecko Gloria and our family dog Dougie.
I started working at Companion Care in 2019 after deciding I wanted a career in the veterinary industry. I am hoping to gain knowledge and eventually train to be a veterinary nurse. I enjoy my role as a veterinary care assistant as it allows me to learn something new every day and work towards my goal of becoming a veterinary nurse. In my spare time I enjoy going to the gym and riding my horse.
After working in the equine industry since a teenager I wanted a career change that still involved interaction with animals. I joined companion care in 2019 & found this role to be perfect. I love meeting clients and their pets and enjoy the fast paced varied role. When not at work I love walking my 2 Sprocker Spaniels & riding my horse.
After my second child I decided to have a career change and joined the team when we opened in April 2011. I have found the career transition to be a pleasant change, and find the interaction with clients and patients really interesting and diverse. I really enjoy that no two days are the same and how well we all get along as a team. Away from work I have 2 young boys and a husband who keep me very busy.
I joined the team in August 2011. Previously I worked in banking until I left to become a full time mum. I have 2 small children and a cocker spaniel who keep me extremely busy outside of work. I thoroughly enjoy my role in the team and find it very rewarding meeting customers and animals alike.
I started working at Companion Care in 2020 as a weekend client care adviser. This is a role that I work alongside my university degree in Mental Health Nursing. I love animals and I’m keen to greet you and your pets when you check in with us. Outside of work I enjoy playing with Ozzie my Shih Tzu, Lottie my Cat and the smallest of the family Violet and Cleo my two Gerbils.
Hannah is often seen whizzing around the practice keeping us clean and well stocked along side our team. Hannah is a mum of two sons, three if you include her Westie!
