After qualifying from the Royal Veterinary College University of London, I completed my Washington and California State Board examinations and North American Veterinary Licensing Examinations and practiced in the USA for a short period. I then returned to the UK to practice and have been based in the local area (Thame) for some years now.

I have a keen interest in small animal soft tissue surgery and internal medicine. I enjoy working with small furries and dentistry on rabbits. I have come from a very animal orientated upbringing with pets ranging from cats, parrots, chickens, ducks, horses, reptiles and fish.

Outside of work I lead an active family life with my wife and daughter and our dogs. With work hours permitting I also get to ride my horse on occasions too!

We look forward to welcoming you to our practice.

I graduated from Glasgow Veterinary School in 2006. I spent a year in mixed practice, where I met my husband Oliver, before making the switch to working with small animals.

I love all aspects of veterinary life from checking out your new puppies and kittens to the more complicated medical and surgical cases, but have a particular interest in soft tissue surgery.

It has been a long held ambition for Oliver and I to open our own practice and we are delighted to finally have the opportunity to do so. We take great pride in looking after your much loved pets to the highest of standards.

When not at work I am looking after my beautiful daughter, Isabella and walking our 2 dogs Nelly and Maisey.

I qualified from the Royal Veterinary College, University of London in 2012. I then went onto work in a Veterinary Hospital during which time I gained a variety of skills and developed a particular interest in Small Animal surgery, ultrasound and neurology.

I joined the team in February 2015. I am currently studying for my BSAVA Postgraduate Certificate in Small Animal Surgery.

Outside of work I spend most of my spare time with family, friends and pets. I am the proud owner of ‘Tilly’ the collie cross, ‘Panda’ and ‘Bobby’ the rabbits, ‘Pesto’ the Sengal parrot and ‘Rubik’ the cat. I am an avid reader of fantasy and science fiction. My other hobbies include cycling, Lego, dining out and going to the cinema.

I grew up in rural Victoria on a farm surrounded by all creatures great and small, as the saying goes. It was a natural progression to study veterinary science and I graduated from the University of Melbourne in December 1983.

My first job was in large animal practice, in Gippsland.  The travel bug got me, and I ended up in Hong Kong for 4 years, this time as a small animal vet.  My next move was to come to the UK, with the intention of spending 18 months here locuming.  It soon stretched into a three year stint as a locum, before finding a permanent position in Potters Bar, where I spent 7years.  I spent a further 14 years in the local area before joining the Companion Care veterinary team in November 2015.  Somehow 18months has stretched into 25 years!

Outside of working hours I am the servant to 2 very demanding cats, and several fish, which are not so demanding.  I love walking in the Chilterns on weekends, and someday when l have more time l would like a Staffie, or a Border Terrier.

Hey I’m Robyn and I’m a student veterinary nurse here at Companion Care Aylesbury. I started as part of the reception team in January 2017, and have now joined college and am training to be a registered veterinary nurse.

I have always wanted to go into veterinary nursing and now I am finally able to do it! Before coming to work here I went to Shuttleworth Agricultural College and studied animal management. When I have time I will go to the stables or visit friends.

I am a Student Veterinary Nurse at Companion Care. I have been working here for over a year now and I really enjoy working within this busy practice! I go to college once a week to study the Level 3 Diploma, where I will qualify in Veterinary Nursing and then will progress into either exotics or behaviour. I was previously accepted into the Royal Veterinary College - as well as other universities - but I felt that I would learn most effectively by working in practice alongside my studies. I have a variety of animals at home; three dogs, a cat, two parrots, a snake and two rats. Clearly I am an animal lover!

I started at Companion Care in February 2017 after nearly 6 years in hairdressing, I love the challenge and I’m always up for getting stuck in. I’ve been brought up around all sorts of animals varying from farm animals to reptiles. We currently have 3 dogs at home which can be a challenge but I wouldn’t change them, in the spring you’ll usually find a Lamb or two we’ll be hand rearing for my Uncle!! I love meeting new people and their pets!

I joined the team as a receptionist in July 2017 after completing my A-Levels. I have three cats that keep me very busy, as well as a beautiful chocolate cocker spaniel puppy. In the future I would love to have another spaniel, and possibly even some reptiles [I’d love a snake!]. My favourite thing about the job is meeting all the interesting animals that come in.

I joined the team in February 2017. I have 23 years customer service and finance experience and have always enjoyed meeting and helping clients. This is the first time I have worked in a veterinary practice and it brings its own rewards. Everyday is different and challenging especially when an emergency patient arrives.

I have lived in Aylesbury for 27 years but have moved all over with my husband who served in the Royal Air Force. I'm originally from Gloucester. I have 2 cats, Salt & Pepper and 2 dogs, Eddie & Bobby. I enjoy spending time with my two grandchildren who live in Leighton Buzzard, walking the dogs and eating out with family and friends.

I started working at Companion Care Vets in August, after 12 years at a local school and with my children all grown up I felt it was time for a change so when Oliver offered me the Receptionist role I was delighted! I'm animal crazy and over the years as a family we have owned and loved numerous pets including 1 beautiful rabbit called Cuddles. 14+ Guinea pigs (we currently have 2 house Guineas) and more recently had to say a sad goodbye to our beloved Jack Russell cross called Emmy. We are now totally in love with our 2 pugs who keep up very busy and entertained. We have joined a local pug group and go on regular meet ups and walks with all our puggy friends as often as possible.

Hi I’m Vicky. I’m a part time receptionist at the practice, working every other weekend as most of my time is taken up looking after my two young children. This is very different to any of my previous jobs working in pubs and I have to say this is definitely a lot more rewarding! Everyone here has been so welcoming helping me find my feet. I love animals and have one cat of my own but working here has allowed me to get my animal fix and being allowed to have puppy and kitten cuddles is always an added perk!!

I joined the lovely team in July 2017 after a long career working with children.  I have 19 year old black and white rescue cat at home called Bruce.  He always helps me to chill out after a busy day at work.  I am also a qualified reflexologist and practise yoga regularly.

I joined the team as a receptionist in May 2018 after finishing my Diploma in Animal Management the year prior. During my course we had to do work experience at an animal related business and I chose to work at companion care for 3 weeks. I felt very welcomed and supported by everyone and also learned a lot from working alongside a very talented team of vets and veterinary nurses!

I am planning on progressing towards becoming a veterinary nurse myself in the future. I have a huge heart for animals and couldn’t imagine life without my pets. Most recently I have taken on a very sweet gerbil that has become my world who’s in my photo, his name is moon!

Companion Care Aylesbury is committed to bringing you affordable, high quality care via a modern, well equipped practice, including a lab, pharmacy, digital x-ray and ultrasound. Plus, on site car parking too!

The friendly team can't wait to meet all of their new clients!
