Meet the team
Ginny qualified from Cambridge University in 1991 and also gained a PhD in veterinary parasitology.
She has worked in general practice, academia and industry. Ginny has been a member of the Prescot team since its earliest days and is experienced in general surgery, ultrasound examinations, the care of pets with complex medical conditions and helping you travel internationally with your animal family.
Ginny has kept and worked with all manner of animals from mice and tropical fish to farm animals and horses. She is passionate about the care and well-being of your pets and keeps up to date with the best advice.
I qualified from Italy in 2013 and have worked in general practice in the UK since 2016.
I have worked for Vets4Pets for most of my career in the UK and also worked as a Locum in the Merseyside area for some time.
I joined the Prescot team recently and am experienced in general medicine and I am passionate about the care and well-being of your pets and I keep up to date with the best advice.
At home I have a cat called Muriel and in my spare time I enjoys playing tennis, going to the gym and jogging.
Alice has worked in veterinary practice for a number of years gaining experience before becoming a student veterinary nurse. She joined companion care in March 2019. Alice has since passed her Veterinary Nursing exams.
Alice’s interests include inpatient care and nursing stray wildlife and theatre.
At home she has a cat called Mr Ron (Harry Potter fan) and a dachshund called Arlo. In her spare time she enjoys going on fun days out with Arlo and her husband.
I have been working in practice for 12 years. I qualified as an RVN 2 years ago.
I have always loved all animals and currently have 3 cats, 1 dog, 5 reptiles, a pacman frog and 2 fish tanks. I would definitely have more pets if I had the space.
Outside of work I have quite a collection of house plants and succulents and love skiing and horse riding, which unfortunately I don't get to do very often.
I have worked for Vets4Pets since June 2016. I moved over to Old Swan in September 2017 and became the Practice Manager of Prescot Companion Care in December 2021. I've always worked in administration but one of my dreams has been to work around animals so this, to me, is the best of both worlds. I have two dogs, Floki and Gilly and a cat called Hercules. If it were up to me, I'd be living on a farm with lots of land and spend my days taking care of many more animals.
Sam started at Companion care in Prescot in October 2016 after working previously in another vets. She has two dogs who are both rescue, Gwladys, a lurcher/collie cross and Ethel, a collie/gsd cross. She spends a lot of time with her dogs when she is not working.
Sam is an avid amateur photographer and takes her camera practically everywhere with her. Sam is always found on reception going out of her way to help others and has recently completed a course in bereavement.
I have worked at Prescot Companion Care since November 2021 and I am thoroughly enjoying my work here. Previously I was in sales for a decade then Property Management for 6 years so this is quite a change for me.
Outside of work I love hiking with my other half, gardening (pottering around out of doors) and cooking. I have a cat called Delia (named after the fabulous cook Delia Smith) who rules the roost at home and I also keep tropical fish.
I started working at companion care Prescot in May 2021 and have always dreamed of working in a vets since I was young. I am passionate about animals and hope to pursue a career in animal care abroad sometime in the future bringing along my furry pal Scooby the cat!
When I’m not working, I’m enjoying my time going to the cinema watching the latest movies with my sister. I have always loved fun sports and I’m currently getting back into a hobby of rock climbing and would love to one day pick up the skill of snowboarding!
I have worked for Vets4pets since I was 19 and started working at Companion Care Prescot in September 2021 after being offered the opportunity to start my Veterinary Care assistant training. My love for animals is unmatched and my dream job is to work with and help them in any way I can! I hope to eventually qualify as a Vet Nurse in the future and continue to help all our fury friends.
Outside of work I love walking my two dogs with my mum and lounging about with my very lazy cat. As a lover of food, I enjoy cooking a lot and drawing and painting is a hobby I like on days off. I am a very social person so I rarely turn down plans with friends but my animals will always come first if they want extra love and attention from me.
I’ve been working for Prescot Companion Care since November 2021, and previously worked at another branch. I keep myself busy at home with my two house bunnies, two rats and hamster. When I have the chance, I love going on weekends away and countryside walks.
Companion Care Prescot is committed to bringing you affordable, high quality care via a modern, well equipped practice, including a lab, pharmacy, digital x-ray and ultrasound. Plus, on site car parking too!
The friendly team can't wait to meet all of their new clients!
