Meet the team

I qualified and obtained my MRCVS Veterinary Degree from the Royal Veterinary College, London in 1994. Since then, I have worked in 2 main practices, the last being local here in Croydon. Having done long stints in my two main jobs, it enabled me to form a great bond with my clients and their pets, most of whom I now consider my friends.
This in turn has made it easier for me to get involved with them at a deeper level and provide very high quality Veterinary care to my patients, this level of care being what I am especially passionate about. I have a wide experience in most surgical and diagnostic procedures and have a particular interest in Internal medicine and Abdominal Ultrasonography. When I am not working, I love tennis, whether playing, watching or going to Wimbledon and also travelling and eating out. Having the time to enjoy my hobbies is however highly dependent on my 2 adorable cats who love to wrap me around their little paws!!

I graduated in 2014 from the Mumbai Veterinary College after harbouring a life long dream of becoming a Veterinary Surgeon. I volunteered with animal charities in India, taking part in vaccination and spay/neuter clinics while working at a low cost veterinary practice. In 2017 I gained the MRCVS qualification in London and have been practicing in the UK since I have qualified.
I love all aspects of veterinary medicine, but have a special interest in Soft tissue surgery and diagnostic imaging. I am passionate about patient care and animal welfare and am always up for a cuddle from a small furry! In my spare time, I loves exploring London, travelling and drinking coffee!
I live with a black cat called Bagheera and have a dog called Skippy that lives in my family home in Mumbai.

I graduated in Spain at Alfonso X El Sabio University in 2014 where I studied Veterinary medicine. I then worked in a variety of hospitals in Spain and performed a rotating internship in a referral Hospital. I then wanted to broaden my experience in Veterinary Medicine so in 2019, I left Spain and obtained my MRCVS membership, and I am now working as a veterinary surgeon in the UK which I find very rewarding .
I am very passionate about internal medicine with a special interest in oncology. I pride myself on providing the best standard of patient care for all of my hospitalised patients and enjoy building relationships with clients in my consultations too.
I have a cat called Sort and a Labrador cross called Timonet, who I absolutely adore- they do say dogs are a man’s best friend! I regularly visit Spain to see my Spanish friends and family who I miss a lot. However in my spare time locally I enjoy long walks with Timonet, eating out with friends and going to concerts.

Matheus Nerone
Student Veterinary Surgeon

Outside of work I take time to see friends and family, often going for long walks with my fur baby Jasper, he is a Lurcher cross who I love to bits. I also enjoy travelling to many different destinations around the world, working hard to keep fit beforehand so I can indulge while I'm away!

I have been working in the Veterinary industry since 2008, initially as a Receptionist, I joined Companion Care Croydon when it opened in 2011. In 2017 I achieved my dream of becoming a Registered Veterinary Nurse which I am very proud of. Since then I have progressed to deputy head RVN. I enjoy working closely with the head RVN to support the practice, coaching students and new staff members, and generally helping out the team anyway I can. I enjoy all aspects of the job but particularly like nursing hospitalised patients, giving them TLC and keeping them as comfortable as possible. Getting them well enough to go home is a great feeling.
In my spare time I look after my young son, we like going to the park and watching the birds and squirrels, and like spending time with family. Unfortunately I don't currently have any pets of my own but it means the ones at work get extra cuddles from me.

I have been with Croydon Companion Care since 2015, starting out as a work experience student. The practice has given me a great opportunity to become the nurse I am now and I am very pleased that I have progressed to the nursing team as a senior member. My main interests are diagnostic equipment, including the lab area and x-rays.
I really enjoy working and being around around animals, especially with cats, which has also given me the chance to rescue a cat called Winnie. My goal is to progress further and work with larger wildlife animals, specifically big cats.
In my free time, I enjoy meeting friends and going out for dinner (and eating in general), travelling around different parts of the world and keeping active at the gym.

My favourite aspects at the moment are in-patient care, and consults, as I enjoy working closely with animals and making sure they have what they need to be as well as they can.
My hobbies are singing, reading, and outings with my family and friends.

I have been with the Companion Care Croydon team since 2020 as a Student Veterinary Nurse. I am very excited to graduate and becoming a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN). I have only ever wanted to be a veterinary nurse as I have a strong love for cute animals and mainly because of my rescued English Bulldog, Lola, whom requires a lot of care and attention and gets the key to my heart.
My life term goal is to exceed and excel in veterinary nursing, by developing my skills to become the best nurse I can, with the intention of being a partner of a practice or owning my own practice.

I have been with the practice since 2015. I started as work experience for 6 months and was hired on as Veterinary care assistant afterwards. Since this time I have been given the opportunity to further myself and now have started my Veterinary Nurse training.
I found my love of animals from a young age and have owned a variety of animals over the years. I now have 3 dogs Sadie (jack x pom), Logan (staffy cross) and Marnie ( staffy x mastiff). They are my babies and would do anything for them. Its due to them that I found my love of the veterinary industry and have never looked back. Everyone at the practice knows me as the staffy lady as I have quite a fondness for the breed. But love anything with fur. My hobbies are writing short stories and anything outdoors.

I have been with the practice since Christmas 2021, having previously completed 2 work placements in the practice which I loved! I have always wanted to be a Veterinary Nurse and was so excited when I got the opportunity to follow my ambition. I enjoy Nursing as it means I get to spend time with all our lovely patients, getting to know them, and hopefully help them feel better when they are poorly.
I have 2 dogs of my own, both Labradoodles called Max and Daisy, who I enjoy going on long walks or cuddling up with on the sofa. I also have a rescue hamster called Cappuccino, which means if we ever have a hamster in practice I’m called on to help as I have a knack for handling them!

When I was younger, it was my dream to become a vet. When I carried out work experience, my dream changed as I felt nursing was the career path I needed to follow. I thoroughly enjoyed my placement here at Companion Care Croydon and since then have been offered career development opportunities. I am currently studying at Middlesex university to obtain my degree in veterinary nursing. I have an interest in the care of hospitalised patients and helping to rehabilitate them to full health when possible.
I have 2 cats and 2 gerbils at home whom I love with all my heart. My passion is horses along with horse riding and my long term goal is to become an equine nurse. My dream is to own a little farm with my horse and companion pony out in the countryside.

I had the honour of joining the Companion Care Croydon team in April 2022 and am a Veterinary Care Assistant. I am particularly interested in helping and observing the surgery and then looking after the patients throughout their recovery. I am very happy carrying out my VCA course for the time being but maybe in the future I would like to study veterinary nursing.
I found my love for animals from a young age and have owned a variety of animals over the years, including fish, hamsters, guinea pigs and now own a rescue dog called Jasper who is a Lurcher X. In my spare time I enjoy going on dog walks, going to the gym and meeting friends.

I joined Croydon Companion Care in October 2016 as Veterinary Care Assistant. Initially, I spent a lot of time on reception but also managed to help the vets and nurses in the surgery and since January 2018 my role changed to Receptionist. I very much enjoy helping clients and animals out front although I still occasionally assist the vets and nurses in the surgery.
Prior to joining I worked in the music industry for nearly 30 years! At the end of the day working with animals is a lot more fun and rewarding even though it can be sad at times.
I met my beautiful baby boy Rafa when I was at college studying Animal Management. I lost my first cat Luca after 17 years suddenly to cancer and soon after was asked to look after Rafa who was at the Blue Cross on site. I wasn't looking for another cat (losing Luca destroyed me) but after spending four months looking after Rafa, I knew I couldn’t be without him and the feeling was mutual. I brought my little monster home with me in August 2015 and haven’t looked back since.
I spend as much of my spare time as possible with Rafa (of course), Taco (my twin’s cat), my family and friends, going for walks, eating out and going to concerts (although I’ve been lucky enough to have seen all my favourite acts more than once now especially The Cure, The Killers and Pink).
