Meet the team
Hi, I'm Sam.
I am the Senior Veterinary Surgeon and one of the Practice Owner's here at Companion Care Cannock.
I graduated as a Veterinary Surgeon in Lahore, Pakistan in 2000 and then completed my Masters in Pathology in 2003. I travelled to the UK the same year and did lots of voluntary work in order to gain experience within the Veterinary industry. I then passed my MRCVS in 2006. I have worked in a variety of practices including emergency clinics so I am proud to say that there are not many things in the Veterinary field that I have not seen.
I have a real passion for working in theatre and carrying out a wide variety of surgeries including; orthopaedic procedures such as patella luxation repair, soft tissue surgeries such as BOAS (brachycephalic obstructive airway syndrome) surgery and many other advanced procedures.
At home, my wife Faiza and I are kept busy by our three children. In our spare time, we enjoy travelling and spending time with family and friends.
My Team at Companion Care Cannock, is experienced, passionate, and determined to be the best!
Hi, I'm Laura.

At home, I have a son who I enjoy spending time with as well as my friends and family.
Outside of work, I love to travel and have travelled to many different countries including; Tunisia, Mexico, Italy, Portugal, Holland, Sweden, USA, Morocco and France - and that's just naming a few!

Hi, I’m Emily.
I’m a Registered Veterinary Nurse and one of the Practice Owner's here at Companion Care Cannock. I began my Veterinary career as a Veterinary Care Assistant in 2000 and then went on to qualify as a Veterinary Nurse in 2005. In the past, I have worked in both small practices and hospitals.
I first joined the Vet Group in August 2015 where I was Head Nurse at Vets4Pets Walsall Reedswood. I became a Practice Partner with my colleague Sam at Companion Care Cannock in 2018.
I have a strong interest in surgery.
At home, I have a husband and two children. I also have a French Bulldog named, Buddy and a Maine Coon called Harriet.
Hi, I'm Sophie.
I'm the Head Nurse and one of the Practice Owner's here at Companion Care Cannock.
I first began my Veterinary Nursing career in 2015, previously working at Vets4Pets Walsall Reedswood until I transferred over to Cannock in 2020. I qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2021 and became a Practice Partner in October 2022.
I have a huge passion for the care of animals and have a particular interest in in-patient care, both critical care and post-operative care, as well as an interest in laboratory work. I am currently a Clinical Coach to two Student Veterinary Nurses, helping them on a daily basis with their journey in becoming Registered Veterinary Nurses.
In the future, I plan to further my study as a Veterinary Nurse and have an interest in gaining an additional qualification in Veterinary ECC (Emergency and Critical Care).
At home, my husband and I are kept busy by our two children, our Labrador, Archer and our two cats Ollie and Jax.
Hi, I'm Becky.
I'm one of the Student Veterinary Nurses here at Companion Care Cannock. I joined the team in 2018 after completing my Level 2 Veterinary Care Assistant qualification here at the practice. I split my time between reception and out the back, helping the Vets and Veterinary Nurses with their daily duties enabling me to work closely with clients as well as their pets! I am in my second-year of my Level 3 Veterinary Nursing qualification - this has been a dream of mine from a young age!
At home, I have a hamster named Jerry. I also have a budgie named Bennie who is very chatty and full of character! I love all animals especially caring for them and helping to nurse them back to health.
In my spare time, I like to go shopping and spending time with friends and family.
Hi, I'm Demi.
I joined the team at Companion Care Cannock in 2021 as a Student Veterinary Nurse. I am currently in my final-year of studying for my Veterinary Nursing degree at Warwick University.
I have a strong interest in radiography and lab and, as part of my training, take part in both on a daily basis. I am looking forward to completing my degree and beginning my career as a Registered Veterinary Nurse.
Outside of work, I enjoy going out with friends and spending time with my Border Collie, Luna.
Hi, I'm Donna.
I'm one of the Veterinary Care Assistant's here at Companion Care Cannock. I first started my career in the Veterinary industry when I was 16 years old, typing up clinical notes for the Veterinary Surgeons. I then moved onto working in a veterinary hospital as a Veterinary Care Assistant.
At home, I have a husband, two children and two dogs - one being a Labrador and the other a Dogue de Bordeaux.
In my spare time, I enjoy walking the dogs, spending time with my family and friends as well as decorating my home and creating craft items such as chocolate bouquets and balloons.
Hi, I'm Destine.
I joined Companion Care Cannock in March 2016 as a Client Care Advisor. I have worked in both small animal and large animal practices and trained as a Veterinary Nurse at Rodbaston College in 1979/1980. I had time off during my career to start and bring up a family, having other jobs to fit in with my family in between but now that they are adults, I have returned to the job I love most.
At home, I have 3 rescue cats - they all have their own personalities and bring a lot of enjoyment and love (though can be little devils!).
When not working, I enjoy spending time with my children and grandchildren, cooking, seeing friends and reading.
