I qualified from Cambridge University in 2006, and since then have worked in small animal and mixed animal practices in both Cambridge and Bedford

I have a keen interest in exotic animal medicine (everything from a hamster to a chicken to a Harris hawk and more!) and gained a GP certificate in exotic animal medicine in 2010. I am currently working towards an RCVS certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice.

At home I live with my husband and our 2 rescue cats (one of which is deaf, and one only has three legs), our Harris Hawk, and our two owls. In my free time I play judo, ice hockey and enjoy knitting and gardening, trying to grow our own vegetables when the local wild rabbits don't eat them all!

I am a laboratory chemist by training and have spent 15 years in the pharmaceutical industry, working with both human and animal medicines. It has been a long term goal for Jo and I to open our own Veterinary practice and we have achieved that with Companion Care Bedford.

You can see our menagerie in Jo’s info above and I have been a keen falconer since we got our Harris Hawk Aragorn 6 years ago. We love winter sports and both play as defenders for MK Storm Wreck ice hockey team. We also enjoy cross country skiing and watching biathlon.

You will see me in the practice at weekends, both on reception and as a vet care assistant behind the scenes. I am a vet student at the Royal Vet College.

At home I have a tabby cat called Pepsi; she's an older lady now at 15! when I am not studying or working, I enjoy travelling to new places, country walks and days at the farm cuddling the goats (they are my favorite).
