How often should I worm my puppy?

Did you know that almost all puppies are born with worms?

  • This is why starting at 2 weeks old puppies should be wormed frequently
  • This should continue until they are 12 weeks old. Now it is time to worm your puppy once a month.


Worms can be a serious health problem for puppies and dogs and this schedule of care is important.

How will I know if my puppy has intestinal worms?

There are many signs of worms ranging from loss of appetite to lethargy – if you are at all concerned we recommend you visit your vet.

Symptoms can include:

•    Poor appetite
•    Coat in poor condition
•    A “pot belly” – this is especially common in puppies
•    Weight loss
•    Diarrhoea
•    Vomiting
•    Lack of energy Lethargy
•    Continual licking of the anal area
