One important way in which the Company can establish links with our local schools, colleges and universities is through the provision of work experience placements.  Work experience offers many benefits and opportunities.  For students, it can enhance their knowledge and understanding and better prepare them for the world of work.  For the Company, it can provide the opportunity to help students develop an insight into the skills and attitudes that are required by us and to raise their awareness of career opportunities within our surgeries.

We accept applications for people looking to undertake work experience who are in full-time education and are applying via an approved scheme.

Work experience may be defined as: an unpaid placement on employer’s premises in which a student observes a particular task or duty, or a range of tasks or duties, with the emphasis on the learning aspects of the experience.

School work experience must be undertaken through approved government schemes. Companion Care, via colleges and universities require students to complete the appropriate procedures to ensure the protection of the individual and the business.
