Steve Brawley MRCVS
Joint Venture Partner and Veterinary Surgeon
I graduated from Glasgow University Veterinary School in 1982, having been brought up in one of the Scottish “new towns” on the outskirts of Glasgow.
Over the years I have worked in many areas of the Veterinary field, including University, charity work with the PDSA, the Armed Forces, industry and owning my own practices. I have been at Woking since May 2009, having intended staying only for a few weeks. It is such a great place to work with a fantastic team and such caring passionate owners (and some interesting patients) that I decided to make it a permanent move.
Despite a long and varied career, I have never lost my enthusiasm for the work and enjoy nothing more than seeing owners reunited with a healthy pet after illness or surgery. I have an interest in surgery and anyone at the practice will tell you about my passion for “knees”!!
Outside of work, my family (wife Jo, Abigail 6 and Oliver 4), house, garden and pets occupy most of my free time.
I love meeting new people and pets, so why not come along and meet us all, have a look round the surgery and see how we can help maintain the special bond between you and your pet.
Phil Davies
Veterinary Surgeon
Phil grew up in Switzerland before moving to the UK for secondary schooling, and for university he left for Australia where he graduated from the University of Melbourne as a vet in 2006. Following a few years in small animal practice down under, Phil returned to the UK and started working for Companion Care in December 2010.
Phil’s areas of interest include clinical pathology and internal medicine, as well as getting to know his clients a bit better. At home he looks after two elderly Chinchillas, and enjoys gardening and springboard diving in his spare time.
Elizabeth Bruno

She has volunteered and spent time in veterinary hospitals in India, China, Britain and the USA. Originally from the States, Elizabeth loves exploring and living in the UK. She is particularly taken with how animal friendly the country is and thoroughly enjoys her role in helping to care for them all. In her free time, Elizabeth enjoys travelling, reading, spending time with friends and generally relaxing.

Natasha has worked for Companion Care since April 2006 & enjoys her job immensely. She has an interest in endocrinology, other medical conditions & emergency & critical care.
She owns a little black cat called Bill who likes lots of cuddles especially after being chased by her toddlers Olivia & Jack.
Gemma Coles
Veterinary Nurse
Gemma has been working at Companion Care since November 2006, and really enjoys it here. She has two pets herself, a Jack Russell Cross called Trusty, and a budgie named Sky. In her free time she enjoys taking Trusty to hydrotherapy, fitness swimming and trick training (old, blind dogs can learn new tricks!), and her other passion in life is going to the theatre, particularly musicals (‘Cats’ is her favourite) and comedy (you can often find her going to see Joe Pasquale). That pretty much sums her up; animals and theatre are her life!
