Tavi Galla DVM MSc MRCVS Joint Venture Partner and Veterinary Surgeon Companion Care Vets Wakefield
I qualified from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Timisoara, Romania in 2004, and in 2006 gained a Master of Science degree in Veterinary Epidemiology. In April 2007, I moved to the UK along with my wife Larissa and our three Bull Terriers.
Between August 2007 and May 2008 I worked as a vet in a first opinion small animal practice in Doncaster. Before becoming Joint Venture Partner at Companion Care Vets Wakefield, I spent 3 years as a vet in Companion Care Huddersfield surgery, dealing with surgical caseloads and also working very closely with local dog breeders. In 2010 I enrolled for the RCVS certificate in Small Animal Surgery. My main interests are in small animal surgery, reproduction and dentistry.
I am also very much involved in the dog world, being a Kennel Club Accredited Breeder and member of ten Bull Terrier Clubs across the UK. I started breeding Bull Terriers in 2002, but also very much enjoy showing and judging Bull Terriers. I am a great believer in responsible breeding and promote highly the health testing for all breeds.
I am very excited to be opening my new surgery in Wakefield with my wife Larissa. Please come down and meet us, and we can show you around and what we have to offer. I look forward to meeting you and your pets soon!

I enjoy all aspects of veterinary work, with a particular interest in medical cases. Together with Tavi I am a Kennel Club Accredited Breeder and joint member of ten Bull Terrier Clubs across the UK.Please come down and meet us in our new surgery, we look forward to welcoming you and your pets!

Jennifer has worked in Veterinary Practice for 8 years, and qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in March 2008. She has always had a desire to work with animals and enjoys her job very much. She has a particular interest in surgical procedures, exotics and cat behaviour.
She has had many pets, and at the moment has four cats – Milly, Ellie, Badger and Seeley; Two Guinea Pigs called Pumpkin and Harry, Harliegh the bunny and two goldfish called Bryan and Beatrice.
In her spare time Jennifer likes to garden, bake and read a good book. The cats keep her entertained either chasing each other around the garden or staring at the fish tank trying to work out how to get the goldfish.

Leanne Cunliffe
Veterinary Care Assistant

Leanne Cunliffe Veterinary Care Assistant Companion Care Vets Wakefield
I worked as a Veterinary Nurse Assistant for just over a year at a busy small animal practice. Before that I studied a National Diploma and a Foundation Degree in Animal Management. Throughout College and University I have had the opportunity to work in various animal practice including dog groomer’s and pet shops. I have always been interested in animals and their welfare, trying to make a difference in an animal’s life. Joining Companion Care will give me the opportunity to progress and hopefully become a qualified Veterinary Nurse. In my spare time I love to exercise and socialise through Zumba. Currently have a rabbit called Jet and a slightly overweight crossbreed dog at home called Diesel undergoing weight management.

I have worked in customer service for over 10 years and really enjoy meeting people. I have an 18 year old daughter who currently works with horses. My interest in animals started at a young age and I’ve always wanted to work with animals so working at Companion Care and being able to meet customers and getting to know their pets is a really enjoyable job for me.  I have quite a few pets - I own a horse, a German Shepherd, a Yorkshire Terrier, a cat, a rabbit, an African grey parrot, a Cockatiel, Two geese and my lovely cockerel! I also like to help the local RSPCA and in my spare time I like to walk my dogs and ride my horse.
