Student Veterinary Nurse

Main purpose of role

Assist with the day to day organisation of the practice with emphasis on providing a professional service to the clients and their pets and assist in maximising turnover and profitability of the business.

Key Responsibilities

• To attend to studies diligently as agreed ensuring that the surgery team is kept informed of relevant information regarding these.

• Ensure accurate records of all client and patient contact/information are kept at all times.

• To work closely with the Senior Nurses and Vets to understand the commercial aspects of the surgery.

• Assist with the administration of the practice when required.

• Work with other members of the team to ensure that the practice and reception areas are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and are presentable at all times, tidying, sweeping, mopping where necessary.

• Ensure maximum client satisfaction by responding to and anticipating client / colleague requirements in a friendly and efficient manner so providing a consistently high level of service.

• Adherence to all Company policies and procedures.

Skills and Knowledge: 
• Proven experience in customer service
• Experience of working with and handling animals
• Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
