Your Vet is Clare Yeadon, BVSc BSc MRCVS
Veterinary Surgeon & Joint Venture Partner
After graduating with BSc Hons in Zoology from Edinburgh University, I took a gap year working in a small animal practice in London and then continued my education at Bristol University studying Veterinary Medicine. When I qualified, I began working in a small animal practice in the south west. From there I was offered a position to work in the first opinion department of Bristol University Veterinary School, where I supervised and taught final year students working with animals brought to us by members of the general public. Two years ago I moved to the West Midlands where I have gained further extensive experience in small animals, including dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs and birds. I have particularly valued working alongside various dog breeders and local animal charities.
I and my team strive to provide ‘Gold Standard’ care for all of our patients, and offer all owners an honest, open and clear opinion and pragmatic approach to their pet’s preventative health care and treatment. I take great pride in my caring and compassionate manner and treat each pet as an individual, tailoring their health care to their specific needs.
In my spare time I am currently studying for a GPcert qualification in small animal medicine, which is an advanced post graduate qualification enhancing my skills and knowledge and keeping me at the forefront of developments in the veterinary world.
For relaxation I enjoy cycling and walking in the Welsh mountains, weather permitting of course!! My partner and I are also just putting the finishing touches to the renovations of our cottage which has taken much blood, sweat and tears to bring back to its former glory. I also love cooking and am enjoying developing my gardening skills.
Hopefully within the next few months we will be bringing our first puppy in to the family, and look forward to the challenges of training him or her!
I am very proud to be working with a fantastic team here at Stratford Upon Avon and we are continually looking for ways in which we can improve our services to you and your beloved pets.

Kate Lander
Senior Veterinary Nurse
I qualified as a registered veterinary nurse in 2006 and have since worked in referral practice, a busy emergency hospital and as head nurse in a small animal clinic. My main interests are feline medicine, anaesthesia, behaviour and complementary therapies. I have four cats called Miss Millie-Molly, Nuada, Buxton and Bob, and a guinea pig called Mr Rochester, all of whom were rescued. I also enjoy keeping freshwater fish. In my spare time I get up to a variety of interesting hobbies including reading, yoga, and live-action role-play and volunteering as a ‘Tudor’ at Mary Arden’s Farm.
Melissa Boughton
Veterinary Nurse
I trained at a busy Veterinary Hospital working with small, large and exotic animals. Now as a registered nurse I enjoy applying the gold standard of care to every patient, treating each animal individually, and to the standard of care my own animals enjoy. I have a keen interest in radiography, surgical nursing and practise equine sports massage therapy in my spare time. My main interests are my horses, Mandalay, Jack and Rocky, who I enjoy competing on in my spare time. I also have the best Border Collie in the world (biased NOT) ‘Megan’ who is 12 years old and acts 5 and two rescue cats Dobby and Ringo (Ringo only has 3 legs after being in a road traffic accident, although you would never tell as he runs so fast and climbs things he shouldn’t!)
Madeleine Golby
Practice Manager
I started my career working on a mixed farm which also bred and trained racehorses. I then went for a complete change and worked in Insurance before finally turning to the Veterinary world in 2002.This means that I bring a wide variety of skills to the practice. I have returned to work after a couple of years break to have my son.
At home I look after two horses, several chickens and have two cats and a strong willed Trail Hound to keep me busy.
When I have a spare moment I enjoy running, horse riding, cycling, tennis, reading and travelling abroad.
Vanessa Taylor
Receptionist
Having a varied working career stemming from Administration to Sales Representative, Recruitment Consultant and Usher to a Magistrates Court, being given the opportunity to join the Companion Care Team Stratford as Receptionist has enabled me to utilise my Customer Service based skills to ensure a professional, warm and friendly service to our Clients and their pets whilst allowing me to bring my passion for animals into the working environment.
On the home front my black and white cat Chelsea, who is in her eleventh year is definitely the Boss of the household but is always there with a loving contented purr to welcome me home. I feel I have the best of both worlds and could not ask for more.
Kate Waite
Receptionist
I have recently moved into the veterinary world from childcare and I am enjoying every second of it. As Receptionist, my main role is to meet and greet clients and their animals, ensuring appointments run smoothly and that reception is a welcoming place for our owners to bring their pets.
In the past I have also worked as a Registered Child Minder, a Customer Service Assistant for a large insurance company but I initially trained as a Legal Executive, specializing in litigation, until children came along!
I am owned by a rescue collie cross called Larry, 2 cats, a hamster and 4 children!
