Your vet is James Fowler, MRCVS
Joint Venture Partner and Veterinary Surgeon

I graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2000. I went on to gain a wide range of experience working in four very different small animal practices in the south-east. It has long been my ambition to run my own practice and I am looking forward to bringing together all of the skills that I have acquired in those positions to provide the best possible service to the patients and clients of Companion Care Redhill. I enjoy all aspects of being a vet but have a particular interest in Internal Medicine and gained the General Practitioner Certificate in Small Animal Medicine in 2005. Away from work I enjoy travelling, eating out and cooking. Fortunately I am also a keen runner which helps to compensate for my more indulgent pastimes!

Emma Godwin MRCVS Veterinary Surgeon Companion Care Redhill
I graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2010. I spent my first year after qualifying working as a locum vet which gave me experience of working in a variety of different practices. I have a particular interest in surgery. When I’m not working most of my time is taken up eventing and hunting my two horses. I also have a black Labrador called Tilly and two cats, Darcy and Felix.

Emma Clarke
Veterinary Nurse

I graduated from the University of Bristol in July 2011 after completing a BSc (Hons) in Veterinary Nursing and Practice administration. I enjoy all aspects of veterinary nursing but particularly medical nursing, and have a keen interest in rabbits!
At home I have 3 cats – Socks, Mitzie and Boris and a rabbit – Charlie, along with tropical fish and goldfish.
Outside of work I enjoy socialising with friends, long countryside walks and going to the cinema.

Amy Whitfield
Veterinary Nurse

I became a RVN in 2010 but have worked in vet nursing for 5 years. Before completing my veterinary nursing I achieved an FdSc in Zoological Conservation & BSc in Environmental Biology.
I particularly enjoy nurse clinics, but love all aspects of the job.
I have 3 cats- Phoebe, Calli & Egg, I also recently rescued Bumble-bee, a little gorgeous Staffie (about 1 year old) and a Tropical aquarium of Cichlids.
I hope that one day I will have the opportunity to work more closely with Wildlife in South Africa and get back to my roots.

Dexter completed a BSc (Hons) in Veterinary Health Studies with Practice Management in 2009. Before Joining Companion Care he has been working as a Zoo Host at Chessington World of Adventures as he wishes to pursue a career within the zoo industry.

Currently he doesn’t own any pets but would one day very much like to own his own Border terrier.

Outside of work he enjoys playing football and continues to help out around Chessington Zoo.

Receptionist

My first job was as a receptionist in the Postgraduate Medical Centre at University Hospital, Lewisham in South East London.  I left in March 2005 and took up a post as Personal Assistant to the Deputy Governor at the Tower of London.  I left in June 2000 and had my daughter Bethany in August of that year.  I was then a full-time mother until November 2002 and when Bethany was 2 years old I started in part-time employment at East Surrey Hospital.  I was on the Main Reception for two years and then worked in various departments including Admissions, Medical Records and Accounts.  In January 2009 I took on the role of Ward Clerk in the Endoscopy Unit where I remained until April 2012.  I joined Companion Care Vets on 16th April 2012 as part-time receptionist.  This is a very exciting new role for me and I am very lucky to work with such a fantastic supporting team!

We have a 10 month old King Charles Spaniel X Jack Russell puppy called Layla.  My daughter also owns a goldfish called Natasha that we have had for over 6 years now.  I enjoy dog walking, singing (I attend a rock / pop choir) and reading.
