Your Vet is Hassan Salamian, MRCVS
Joint Venture Partner and Veterinary Surgeon
I graduated from Berlin in 1994 then worked for 3 years in Germany as a farm vet, looking after cows, pigs, sheep and horses - as well as domestic pets - before moving to the UK to live.
For the first 5 months here, I worked as a volunteer for both the PDSA and the RSPCA. I had to earn a living, so I worked again on farms, as well as looking after domestic pets in a Norfolk practice, before moving closer to London three years later. Since then I have specialised in treating small animals in London, Hertfordshire and more recently, in Bath.
I joined Companion Care 8 months ago, impressed by what I had seen in surgeries as far apart as Harlow and Bristol. Since joining, I’ve been fortunate enough to work as a locum in several branches, mainly in the Home Counties. In every location, I’ve found dedicated professionals at every level, helping owners to do the best for their pets. When the Reading opportunity came up - I decided to go for it!
I passionately believe in delivering the best possible veterinary care at affordable prices. Being a responsible owner is a big part of the joy of keeping a cherished pet.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending my time with my family (which includes Tinkerbelle, my cat), travelling (with Tink, of course, where possible), photography and trying out Jamie Oliver recipes!

Beverley Storey
Veterinary Nurse
I graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2010 leaving with a Bsc in Veterinary nursing. I have previously worked in a busy hospital in London covering both day and night shifts, this gave me the opportunity to gain a diverse nursing experience.
While working in London I developed my passion for medical nursing and emergency and critical care. I will be continuing to develop my knowledge by going on different courses in these specific topics.
When im not working I like to take my dog, Tease (German shepherd) out for long walks in the country. I currently have a 2 cats called Oreo and Fluffy as well as Tease. I also enjoy shopping, baking and spending time with my friends and family.
Jordan Hogarth
Veterinary Care Assistant
After completing a diploma in Human Care I worked at Pets at home for 2 years and by the end of this I quickly realised human nursing wasn’t for me. My passion for animals led me to apply for a job with companion care with future dreams of becoming a Veterinary Nurse. I am currently studying an ANA diploma so I can then move on into training. I have 2 beautiful dogs of my own called Sox and Lexi who are 7 and 16 months. I enjoy spending time with friends and family, I always like to have people laughing no matter where I am work or home.
Diane Dilnot
Vet Receptionist
Before working for Companion Care, I worked as a veterinary receptionist in another vet practice, and had been there for over 3 years. I love this type of work, so was very pleased to be offered this position here.
Outside of work, I enjoy my cats. Until recently I had 2, one 9 year old who is a beautiful grey colour with a stripy belly, is terrified of his own shadow, but will sit on your lap if you have a cushion on it. The other was an 18yr old with only 3 legs. Unfortunately he passed away after suffering with renal failure for 4 years. Now I am the proud possessor of a young black kitten, who had a rough start in life so needs lots of love and affection.
Other than my cats I enjoy eating out, going to the cinema and generally socialising.
Carolyn Grove
Vet Receptionist
I have always been an animal lover and whilst I have experience of Reception work have never worked in a Vets Practice. I have quickly discovered a love for this environment and would not want to work anywhere else.Outside of work I spend time with my family and my American Ragdoll cat Armani who is totally spoilt by my daughters and thinks that she rules our house. I also enjoy keeping fit, cooking ,reading and eating out.
