John Davies BVSc BSc BTh MRCVS
Joint Venture Partner and Veterinary Surgeon
John graduated from Liverpool University in 1992 and since qualifying has worked in veterinary practice with most small and large domestic species (as well as a few wild ones, in both senses). Born in Oxford, he has travelled widely. His veterinary career has mainly been in the UK but he has also worked in Melbourne, Sydney and Cape Town. In recent years John has been involved in some voluntary veterinary work, including teaching students and other vets, in Mongolia, Romania, Uganda and Ecuador.
In his spare time John enjoys travel, sport (rowing & swimming), adventure activities (snowboarding, mountaineering, mountain biking), music and drama. He spent the first two months of 2010 in Ecuador doing voluntary work, including working with young people , building a refuge and giving veterinary treatment to local livestock, but has now settled back in Oxford.
Laurence O'Hara MA Vet MB MRCVS
Veterinary Surgeon
Laurence graduated from Cambridge University in 2003. Since then he has worked in horse practice, but whilst undertaking postgraduate surgical training at the Royal Veterinary College (in horses!) he enjoyed his small animal rotations so much that he decided to return to small animal veterinary work. He has moved to the Oxfordshire area with his fiancé, Antoinette, who is also a small animal vet.
In his spare time Laurence enjoys running, in particular fell racing. His two dogs Zoe (a lurcher) and Baxter (a cross-bred terrier) love the training runs that this involves. Laurence also enjoys mountaineering and cycling. When feeling less active he plays the guitar and enjoys cooking.
Gillian Leeson RVN
Veterinary Nurse
Gill gained her initial nursing experience working at a small and large animal practice in Staffordshire, going on to complete an FdSc in Veterinary Nursing. She graduated from Harper Adams University in 2011. Originally from Yorkshire, since qualifying she has moved to her boyfriend's farm in south Oxfordshire.
Gill has numerous pets, including Sophie, a 16 year old cat, Holly, a seven year old tricolour Border Collie and a six month old Springer Spaniel called Bramble, who is definately boss of her current household. Gill is in the process of adopting Mo, a one eyed guinea pig (pictured).
In her spare time Gill enjoys horse riding, reading, walking her dogs, catching up with friends and jaffa cakes.

Elisa joined the practice team soon after passing her BTec National Diploma in Business early 2011. She is an animal enthusiast and the proud owner of Barry, a Musk Turtle, Steve and Lennie (guinea pigs) and Riley, an eight year old Boxer she enjoys talking for walks in the countryside near her home in Witney. She hopes eventually to train to become a vet nurse.
