Pavel Bogdanowicz MRCVS JVP and Veterinary Surgeon Companion Care Vets Northampton

I qualified as a Veterinary Surgeon 8 years ago and my entire professional career has been dedicated to companion animals.  I moved to the UK 5 years ago to follow my ambition of giving excellent service within the veterinary profession. During that time I have been working in small animal hospitals and practices across Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire.

I have a keen interest in all aspects of small animal medicine and surgery. Exceptional veterinary care, combined with high quality client focused service, has always been a main priority throughout my career.

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my wife and our lovely cat Bella. I love travelling and sports - tennis, football and skiing in particular.

I have been working in small animal practice in the North East of England for 10 years, moving further south to be closer to family and friends last year.
I enjoy all aspects of general practice veterinary work but am particularly interested in feline medicine and surgery.
Out of work I am an avid amateur gardener and have two cats to dig up bulbs and squash plants for me called George and Nemo.

Gemma Barker
Veterinary Nurse
Gemma got her first job working in a vet practice in 2002, after completing a diploma in small animal care. It was at this practice where she qualified as a veterinary nurse. She then went onto to work at a referral veterinary practice in Northampton. After one year she had a baby and decided she would look for a part-time job to fit around her beautiful son.  In 2008 she started to work part-time for Companion care Milton Keynes, then when the Companion Care Northampton opened transferred over to be closer to home. She particularly enjoys getting involved with critical care and medical cases. At home she has two cats Huxley and Darwin - Black & white tom cats – and Sophie a Tri-colour, Cavalier King Charles spaniel. Gemma really enjoys getting out into the countryside, for long walks with her family and loves reading and taking her son swimming.

I previously spent 3 years working in a small animal vet practice as a Junior. I recently completed my National Diploma in Animal Management, during which I gained a lot of experience in a variety of species.  I currently have two cats, Roly and Zoe, and a 6 month cross puppy called Sunny, who is in my picture with me!

I have loads of experiences with a varied amount of different animals over the years, ranging from horses and cows, to companion animals, and even to primates! I love to work with all animals and like to know all about them! I have a dog called Gus who is a border terrier cross bichon frise and in my spare time I like to spend time with him and my friends. I love nothing more than going to the cinema and watching movies on my sofa!
