Having graduated from Zaragoza University, Spain in 1998 and with over 11 years experience. I joined Romford Companion Care back in 2004, I've loved working there, and after a lot of hard work, Nick, Clare and I got the opportunity to become partners in our second practice in Ilford. I have a great interest in orthopaedics. In my spare time I like running and cycling and bird watching (as does my cat Chirimiri!)
Clare Barker RVN
Joint Venture Partner and Veterinary Nurse
Clare has 11 years experience in small animal practices. She has been with Romford Companion Care for nearly 7 years and was over the moon when she was able to help start another veterinary clinic in Ilford, Essex with Alberto and Nick. At home she has 3 ferrets named Eli, Esme and Rita, 2 cats called Bez and Kate and Rigsby the rat. She is completely ferret mad!!
Nick Briggs RVN
Joint Venture Partner and Veterinary Nurse
Nick graduated as an RVN in 2008. He has worked in Companion Care Romford for 3 years and is very excited about becoming a partner in both the Romford and Ilford surgeries. He spends a lot of his free time helping stray cats as part of his role of welfare officer with the Cats Protection Hornchurch. Having spent 9 years working with animals, Nick likes to have many pets at home - 2 dogs (Bailey, Daisy) and 4 cats (Scooby, Hattie, Billy, and Romeo). Nick has also recently completed his Clinical Coaching Award. He has a certificate in veterinary dentistry. He has recently acquired a tortoise and a baby rabbit called Pippin. Nick is a familiar face at our out of hours clinic where he works part-time.
Megan Gras, (Hons) MRCVS
Veterinary Surgeon
Megan graduated from The University of Melbourne, Australia in 2009. She worked in a busy inner city clinic in Melbourne before moving to the UK. Megan joined Companion Care Vets in September 2011. Megan enjoys all aspects of Veterinary medicine but has a particular interest in senior pet health. Outside of work Megan enjoys travelling and is training to eventually run a half marathon.

Karen West RVN
Veterinary Nurse
Karen has several animals at home including guinea pigs and a West Highland White Terrier called Lily. She really enjoys seeing our clients pets in nurse consultations. She works as a part-time veterinary nurse as she has three children to run around after too!
Casey Clarke
Student Veterinary Nurse
Casey is our student veterinary nurse. She is currently training for her second year of the veterinary nursing course.
Nikki Parnell
Vet Receptionist
Nikki has two Ragdoll cats called Millie and Molly who are both very spoilt. She was recently lucky enough to hand rear a two day old Kitten named Kitty until she was old enough to be re-homed. In her spare time Nikki enjoys the Theatre, Cinema & socialising with friends.
Maddie Paton
Vet Receptionist
Maddy is a busy mum of one. She manages our reception area and always has a friendly smile and a warm welcome for our clients. She has two dogs (Sassy and Blue) and a cat called Moxi.
Dawn Andrews
Vet Receptionist
Dawn is a busy mum but manages to work for us on reception at weekends. She has one cat and one dog.
Michelle Jenkinson
Vet Receptionist
Michelle works in both our practices as a receptionist. She runs a rabbit boarding company in her spare time and has lots of rescue rabbits of her own.
