Shabbir Shariff MRCVS (right)
Joint Venture Partner & Veterinary surgeon
I qualified as a Vet in 2007 from the University of Pretoria in South Africa. I grew up in Zimbabwe and have always loved animals. I had many pets in my childhood years: cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters and fish. I have 3 pets, all adopted stray cats: Prince, Tess and Tom. I have worked for various small animal practices in the UK since graduating. I have always wanted to own my own surgery and jumped at the opportunity to work with Companion Care and provide veterinary care to pets in Leicester. I have an interest in diagnostic imaging and opthamology.
In my free time I enjoy playing squash, basketball, tennis and riding. I also enjoy reading and exploring different cultures and foods. I share my wife's passion for cooking and trying different recipes and foods.
Sameer Bheda MRCVS (left)
Joint Venture Partner & Veterinary Surgeon
I qualified as a vet in 2002 at the University of Zimbabwe. I have always preferred working with small animals. I have a particular interest in orthopaedics and medicine. I look forward to specialising in orthopaedic surgery in the near future. Having worked for corporate practices and emergency clinics, I feel that this experience has helped me to shape my vision of veterinary medicine. Therefore I had no hesitation in teaming up with Companion Care to bring a fantastic new veterinary surgery to the clients and pets in Leicester.
Being married with a child means my time outside is fun, tiring and varied! I enjoy playing cricket and squash.
