I graduated from RVC London in 1982, and have had lots of years in practice! I have worked many and varied roles over the years including a partnership in a mixed practice and I one time flew to Canada with a plane load of Ostriches!! I specialise in acupuncture and am an IVAS certified Veterinary Acupuncturist. My husband Tim and I share the partnership of the Companion Care in Kings Lynn, and this, along with our 2 children and our animals, mops up all my spare time! We have 2 dogs -Beano a Labradoodle, Luna a Lurcher which we re-homed from the RSPCA, a cat called Lolly and Harvey the Rabbit.

Tim graduated from Imperial College, London in 1983 and shares the partnership of the Companion Care surgery with his wife Jane. Tim has helped out when needed for over 20 years, and now manages the surgery, although this has not always been his job! Tim is a chartered Mechanical Engineer and has a background in Automotive components and industrial bearings. More recently he was the Managing Director of a medium sized engineering company manufacturing specialist piping systems.
Su Read BVM&S MRCVS
Veterinary Surgeon
Su graduated from R(D)SVS, Edinburgh in 1995 and has mostly worked in small animal practices, although she did do some farm work in the 90’s. Su has many animals at home - Finn, an English Springer Spaniel, Max the black and white cat, Kal the snake, 4 hens (Constance, Esmerelda, Rosie and Bluebell), 2 Degus (Arthur and Merlin) and several fish. When 3 children and a varied pet collection leaves time, Su likes to study maths with the Open University, and endeavours to take a photograph worth putting on Flickr.
Clare Tansley BVM&S MRCVS
Veterinary Surgeon
Clare graduated from Edinburgh in 2004 and since then has worked in several practices both in the UK and abroad. Clare has an interest in acupuncture. Clare is a keen skier and when time allows enjoys sailing in her own boat. She also has three cats, two tortoises and a new labrador puppy.
John Cooper
Visiting Exotics Specialist DTVM, FRCPath, FIBiol, FRCVS.
John graduated from Bristol University in 1966. Previously he was a University teacher, Consultant and has done overseas work for both wildlife and domestics and written numerous papers. John’s specialities include pathology, tropical diseases and biology and he has insects as pets. In his spare time John’s hobbies include youth work, travel and natural history.

Has worked for many practices over the years mostly working with small animal and she once spent 3 weeks tube feeding an anorexic tortoise. Cleaning is her speciality and has had over 10years in practice. Rachael qualified in 2004 from the College of Animal Welfare, Manchester and since becoming a mum this year hasn’t got much time to relax anymore but when she gets the chance she likes to curl up with a good book or movie. Rachael has a very fluffy pure white cat with different colour eyes named “serendipity”, however they just call him Dippy!!!

Jade holds a National Diploma in Performing Arts, and previously worked at Woolworths (from age 15) until it was no more!! She also used to be a clothes model & receptionist at a fashion designing company in London. She describes herself as a bit of a superhero geek! She like good films, good music, cars - she has a very large American truck!), festivals and her dogs - Bubba a Staffordshire bull terrier and Xander a German shepherd.
