Veterinary Surgeon & Joint Venture Partner
I graduated from Edinburgh university in 1994 and since then I have worked in a variety of practices around the UK, including farm and mixed practices. For the last 12 years I have worked mainly in companion animal practice; most recently in a busy Veterinary hospital in Farnham.
I have a particular interest in surgery, but see myself as a general practitioner. I like all animals and strive to give the best care to all my patients.
We moved to Farnham in 2005 and apart from a short spell in Belgium, have lived here ever since. I enjoy running and cycling and like to explore the local countryside. We have 2 boys, so a lot of our time is spent playing in the nearby Farnham Park.
I am incredibly excited about the opportunity to open a new surgery in Farnham with Companion Care. I believe it will be very fulfilling and I look forward to meeting you and your pets soon!

I have worked as a locum for other Companion Care surgeries and was delighted to become part of the team as an employee when the new practice opened. I started my career over 16 years ago and qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 1999. Since then I have worked in various small animal practices and was head nurse in a local surgery for 6 years. Recently I have had the opportunity to locum in many surgeries around surrey and Hampshire. It has given me valuable and exciting experience in emergency and critical care treatments and has enhanced my skills and knowledge in an ever changing industry. I adore all aspects of my job and particularly enjoy surgery, radiography, microbiology, parasitology and of course meeting clients and their special friends.
At home I have a wonderful husband and two great kids that I love spending time with. We also have two beautiful chocolate Burmes cats which we all thoroughly spoil. Since we’ve had the cats my interest in feline medicine and behaviour has elevated further. I love food, making it and especially eating it, so I guess it’s good that I have a serious passion for running and compete in races often! I enjoy my time spent in the garden and have a go at growing my own fruit and veggies each year. And finally, I like to relax with a cuppa (or a glass of rioja!) and a good book.
