Pablo Fuentes Bugnone

Joint Venture Partner and Veterinary Surgeon
I qualified in 2001 from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain. I landed in Lancashire soon after – in the midst of the foot and mouth disease outbreak. I started working on food hygiene with Eville & Jones Ltd. and then moved into small animal practice in 2005, settling in the south while working at the Portsmouth surgery. In 2009 I joined partnership with Antony and Mackie at Companion Care Fareham, and in 2011 with Lubo and Antony at Companion Care Collingwood. At home I have 2 rabbits and in my spare time I enjoy reading, walking in the countryside and travelling.
Antony Bielovich

Joint Venture Partner and Veterinary Surgeon
Antony graduated in 1998 from Onderstepoort, South Africa after studying and working as a Chemical and Industrial Engineer. In 2001 he and Mackie started the partnership in the Portsmouth surgery. He is now also a partner in the Fareham and Collingwood surgeries. He has a special interest in exotic pets. Indeed at home he has snakes, a ridgeback and a border terrier.
Mackie Hobson

Joint Venture Partner and Veterinary Surgeon
Mackie, like co-partner Antony, qualified as a vet from Onderstepoort in 1998. Since then Mackie has been working in the UK and spends time outdoors and painting. Mackie also co-owns the Portsmouth Vet Surgery and can be seen working at both clinics.
Karen Gerber BVSc MRCVS
Veterinary Surgeon

Karen graduated from the University of Pretoria in 2006 and worked in several small animal and mixed practices in South Africa between 2007 and 2009. She enjoys running, birdwatching and hiking. Being new to the UK, she doesn’t have any pets yet, but she has a soft spot for greyhounds.
Katherine Woodhouse RVN

Katherine has been working in vet surgeries for over 7 years. She qualified in 2005 and has a particular interest in pet nutrition. She runs weight clinics with much success – indeed one of her clients, a large cat with a dedicated owner, scooped Hill’s pet slimmer of the year in 2005. She has a number of pets: 2 rabbits, a cockatiel, a dog and a cat that has unfortunately only got half a tail after a nasty accident.
Michelle Lyons

Michelle qualified in 2008 from Sparsholt College. Her pets at home keep her entertained: a cat that attempts to swim in her garden pond! And a tortoise that chases the cat, but the cat has the upper hand when it comes to the rat! Michelle likes to keep herself active too and regularly goes to the gym.
Zoe Shute

Veterinary Nurse
Zoe is a very experienced veterinary nurse having qualified in 1995, and has been at Companion Care Fareham for nine years. She has a keen interest in the management of diabetes and is currently running our free diabetic clinics to provide support for clients with pets with this condition.
Zoe has two cats, one with hyperthyroidism.
Jemma Kosten
Veterinary Nurse
Jemma has a degree in Animal Management which she undertook at Sparsholt College in 2006. In 2010 she qualified with her NVQ in Veterinary Nursing at MYF Training in Aldershot, she has been in practice 4 ½ years. Jemma has an interest with general animal healthcare and preventative measures. She runs Weight Clinics and nutritional advice at the surgery. At Home Jemma has a cat & a rabbit, and enjoys Horse Riding, Walking & Socialising in her spare time. She also enjoys the gym and motorsports such as Formula 1.
Kayley Bartlett
Nurse Assistant
Kayley has five pets at home, and with 7 years’ experience in vet surgeries Kayley is well placed to look after them all. Her male rabbit sadly had to have a full mammary strip after being diagnosed with breast cancer which is very rare for males. In her spare time Kayley doubles as a pet sitter!
Lorraine Mathews

A relative newcomer to the team, Lorraine started as a Receptionist but ventured into the nursing team as a Nurse Assistant in 2008. She enjoys learning about medical conditions and is hoping to train as a veterinary nurse in the future.

Pamela has previously worked in a bank for 25 years and has a NVQ in customer care.
She has one rabbit and enjoys going to the gym and socialising with friends.
Lisa Atkinson
Receptionist
Lisa has served 5 years in the Royal Navy where she worked as an Air Engineering Mechanic and Meteorological Observer, and worked for Makro Wholesalers where she held the posts of General Assistant, Admin Clerk and Admin supervisor for 16 years.
Lisa has a giant lop-eared Rabbit that likes to sit on her feet whilst being stroked, and a rescued guinea pig which doubles as an alarm clock by squeaking at breakfast and dinner time. Lisa's hobbies include supporting her favourite football team Southampton Football Club, swimming, walking and reading.
Sandra Kellow
Receptionist
After 21 years of working in a wholesale environment Sandra felt it was time for a career change. Being an animal lover, Sandra couldn't think of a better job than working in a veterinary surgery.
Sandra is the surgery Pet Plan Advisor.
In her spare time she is kept busy with her three cats and a horse, and enjoys helping out at a local livery yard, travelling and reading.
Karen Foster
Receptionist
Karen has always worked in an office environment and enjoys meeting new people. Karen adores animals and feels she has found her dream job. She has one Cocker Spaniel who loves to perform tricks for treats. In her spare time Karen likes reading and walking and enjoys spending time with her family, including Harvey.
Hollie Burnett
Receptionist
I have been working for Companion Care Fareham since January 2012. I previously worked at a bakery and a retail company. I specialise in Pet Plan insurance. I have 2 cats called Jess and Jazz and a west highland terrier called Binkie. In my spare time I enjoy reading and making cakes.
