A graduate from University Utrecht in 1997, I have over 14 years’ veterinary experience. I came over to the UK and have worked all over the country including a small animal practice in Suffolk and emergency clinics in Brighton and Wimbledon. I was delighted to become sole partner at Companion Care Exeter in 2004. I am able to treat pets that visit Pets at Home Exeter and Exmouth. I’m particularly interested in orthopaedics, birds and exotic pets.In my spare time I enjoy sports, travelling and exploring the countryside.

Clare Wannell JVP Companion Care Exeter
Clare has 15 yrs experience as a veterinary nurse and qualified in 2000. She has been Head Veterinary Nurse at the surgery since 2006 and has also become a partner at the practice in April 2011. Clare oversees the day to day running of the practice and enjoys medical nursing and preventative healthcare. Clare is also responsible for the  training and development of the student nurses. At home she has a rabbit called Princess Minymoy and a senegal parrot called Billy. Outside of work, Clare enjoys travel, the theatre and Zumba.

Inge Johannson BVMS MRCVS
Veterinary Surgeon

Inge Johannson BVMS MRCVS, Veterinary Surgeon Exeter
Inge qualified from Glasgow University in 1993. With 15 years experience she’s a great asset to the team.  She initially worked in mixed practices in Wales and Devon, but soon moved to Small Animal practice exclusively. Inge’s specialities are soft tissue surgery and dentistry. She has a collection of animals at home: 3 horses, 2 dogs, 2 cats and chickens. Naturally she enjoys horse riding, but also likes skiing and surfing.
Catherine Tapp MRCVS

Veterinary Surgeon (Currently on materinity leave)

Catherine qualified from Cambridge University Vet School in 2000 and has worked with small animals since then. Catherine’s special interest are internal medicine and imaging. When not at work she enjoys growing vegetables, reading, entertaining and spending time with her husband, three young daughters and Eric the cat.


Bronwen Gill 
Veterinary Surgeon

Bronwen qualified from Murdoch University in Western Australia in 2001. She worked in mixed practice for three years and then spent four years in Greece doing sea turtle conservation. She holds a postgraduate certificate in conservation medicine. Bronwen's pets include three chickens and a rooster


Fiona Dale
Veterinary Surgeon

Fiona qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in London in 2007. She initially worked in mixed practice, and then several small animal practices in Devon. Fiona is particularly interested in surgery and diagnostic imaging, and is studying towards a further qualification in surgery. When not at work or studying, Fiona enjoys spending time with her large collection of pets, and riding her horses.


Nicky Co llins RVN
Veterinary Nurse

Nicky has recently qualified as a Vet Nurse and has been working in animal healthcare for over 7 years. Her favourite areas of nursing are rabbit husbandry, surgical nursing and post operative care and pain relief. Nicky has 2 cats: Bertie and young Dave (1 year). In her free time Nicky keeps busy with badminton, music, socialising and travel.
Nicky is currently on materinity leave after the safe arrival of her 1st child.





Shelly Nebbett RVN
Veterinary Nurse

Shelly recently qualified as a Veterinary Nurse and has six years experience in the animal health industry. Shelly enjoys all aspects of her work but particularly enjoys radiography and discussing preventative healthcare with clients in consultation. Shelly has a cat called Mika, a rabbit called Harvey and a apple snail called Gary. In her spare time she enjoys long walks along the coast.


Katie Drew

Katie is a true animal lover but particularly enjoys canine care. She has a border collie called Finley and 2 cats called Weeble and Missymo. Katie’s favourite pastimes are horse riding and walking.

Jack counts himself very lucky to have found such a cool job. He loves dogs – he has one at home called Patsy, and fish too. He spends his time socialising and walking.


Sam Cox

Sam is our trusty, resourceful receptionist who makes sure our clinics run smoothly. She likes small furries and at home has a French lop called Tavsan. In her free time she enjoys cycling, going to the movies and all things arts and crafts.
Sam is currently on maternity leave. Congratulations on the safe arrival of Jamie Patrick.

Nikki Kerswell

Nikki has been with Companion Care since May 2010. Her background is in managing pubs and restaurants. She has a 2 1/2 year old Degu called Nutmeg and a 1 year old hamster called Saffie. Her hobbies include her pets, horse riding, DIY, surfing the net and gardening.

Tom Pryce
Receptionist

Tom Pryce Receptionist Exeter

Tom is our handyman and he’s also very good at client care too. He’s got a dog called Jude and a cat called Pooch! His passion is motorcycling – come rain or shine.


Nicole Cameron
Receptionist

Nicole has worked at the surgery since July 2011 as our part time receptionist. She has two Dalmatians called Zero and Bella. In her spare time she enjoys attending dog training classes, socialising and bike riding.

Liz Hobbs
Receptionist

Liz joined the team as a receptionist in July 2012 after 25 years in local government. She shares her home with Fred the Jack Russell, Lola, Lottie and Betty the three ex-battery chickens. In her spare time she enjoys walking and gardening.


Debbie Coard
Receptionist

Debbie has worked at the surgery since April 2012 as a part time receptionist. She has a cat, three rabbits and a bird. Debbie enjoys walking, socialising and dancing classes.
