After originally qualifying as an optometrist in South Africa in 1994 John returned to university and qualified as a vet in 2002. He has worked in various small animal practices in the UK before he started at the Dunstable surgery in 2006. John lives with his partner, 2 children and a menagerie of animals including dogs, cats, guinea pigs, chickens and some fish for good measure.

Annette qualified in 2006 and has been part of the Companion Care team since 2010.
Claire Weller
Senior Veterinary Nurse
Claire qualified in 2002 and has been part of the Companion Care team since that time. Claire is in charge of the day to day running of the practice. Her spare time is taken up with looking after her horse Charlie, dog Monty and cat Norman. She is also a keen gardener and very good cook!
Shelly Walsh
Veterinary Nurse
Shelly qualified in 2004 and has worked part time with us since 2008, previously working at Davies veterinary specialists. Shelly is in charge of filling out all the insurance claim forms.
Shelly lives with her husband and the rest of her time is taken up looking after their two young children, cats Guiness and Cider, and dog Harley.
Jennie Parker
Veterinary Nurse
Jenny qualified in 2009 and has been with us since 2010. Jenny lives with her soon to be husband and their dog Dougal.
Laura Hale
Veterinary Nurse
Laura joined Companion Care as a student nurse in 2008 and qualified in 2011. She has a lurcher called Denzil. Denzil was rehomed from the greyhound rescue centre in March 2008. In her spare time Laura likes socialising with her friends.
Rachel Weller
Receptionist
Rachel has worked on reception since July 2007 after previously running a horse riding school for 8 years. Most of her time outside of work is spent with her horses and she likes to compete at dressage with one of her horses, an Appaloosa called April. Rachel lives with her partner and their Staffordshire bull terrier called Boogle.
Sarah Martin
Receptionist
Sarah has worked on reception since 2010. Sarah loves baking and lives with her fiancé and their cheeky westie, Charlie.
Rebecca Hall
Receptionist
Rebecca (aka Becky) started as a receptionist in September 2011. Becky previously was training to be a Veterinary Nurse but did not complete her final year due to having a baby in July 2011 but hopes to go back to her training in the future.
Sarah Hedges
Receptionist
Sarah is the newest member to join the Companion Care team. Sarah is married and most of her time is taken up looking after their three children, two dogs, two cats and a rabbit.
