Dr Colin Skinner BVSc MRCVS Joint Venture Partner and Veterinary Surgeon
I graduated from Pretoria University in South Africa and have had 38 years in practice, becoming partner in Companion Care Cramlington in 2008. I have built up a wealth of international veterinary experience having worked in South Africa in my own practice and across the UK in both small animal and mixed practices. I returned to Newcastle having worked here as a Temporary Veterinary Inspector in 2001/2 on Foot and Mouth diagnoses and control and subsequent farm re-stocking programmes. My specialities include surgery, including orthopaedics. In my spare time I enjoy computing and photography.
Sadhana Kelly BVN&S MRCVS
Veterinary Surgeon
Sadhana graduated from Edinburgh University in 1998 and came to Companion Care in 2010. She has a particular interest in medical cases.
She has 2 German Shepherds called Amber & Carly, and 3 cats too. She enjoys taking short breaks with the dogs and going to the cinema.
Emma Foxall RVN Veterinary Nurse
Emma has been nursing since 2001 and joined Companion Care in 2010. She has an interest in dog behaviour and training. She does a lot of rescue work and regularly fosters, transports and homechecks.
At home she has 4 dogs, 4 cats and 3 ex battery hens. She enjoys doing flyball with her dogs, cooking and reading.
Emily Henderson RVN Veterinary Nurse
Emily has been nursing since 2001 and joined Companion Care in 2010. She worked as a veterinary nurse in Australia for 4 years and has an interest in radiography. She has 2 lurchers at home and 2010 also saw the arrival of her daughter, Rebecca.
Outside of work she enjoys spending time with friends and going to the gym.
Gemma Naylor
Receptionist
Gemma joined us as a receptionist after volunteering with us previously. She has a BTEC Diploma in Animal Care, a National Diploma in Animal Management, and is a Petplan Insurance Advisor.
At home she has a border collie called Amber.
Jessica Penaluna Receptionist
Jess joined Companion Care as a Receptionist in June 2011. She has a National Diploma In Photography, and this is her main interest outside of work, as well as flyball and walking her two dogs, lurcher Tao and Whippet Bella. She also has 3 chinchillas.
