Lubo Palenik DVM, PhD, MRCVS
Joint Venture Partner and Veterinary Surgeon
I graduated in Kosice, Slovakia, in 1989. I worked in first opinion and later referral practice at the Small Animal Clinic of the Veterinary School at Kosice University. I achieved my PhD investigating diagnostic approach and therapy of feline liver diseases in 2002.
The same year I started to work in small animal practice in UK, first sole charge in in Somerset and then from 2004 to 2007 for Companion Care Portsmouth. In 2007 I accepted the position of Senior Lecturer in Internal Medicine at the Small Animal Clinic of the Veterinary School in Kosice. As a part of my special training I have spent 5 months as a Senior Clinical Training Scholar in Cardiopulmonary medicine at the University of Edinburgh.
Despite the fact that my special interest lies in Internal Medicine, Cardiology and Ultrasonography, I enjoy down to the ground “real life” of a first opinion practice and daily contact with the clients and their pets. That was the main drive for me to decide to return back to England and to become a Joint Venture Partner with my long time friends and colleagues Antony and Pablo. I will still keep in touch with Academia as a visiting lecturer in cardiology / internal medicine for the Vet School in Kosice, as well as a lecturer / invited speaker for the Slovak Veterinary Chamber training courses.
My lovely blue roan English Cocker Spaniel “Daisy” has moved with me back to her country of origin, which I am sure she enjoys a lot. I love outdoor activities and water sports.
Antony Bielovich BSc(Chem.Eng.), M.Ing., BVSc, MRCVS
Joint Venture Partner and Veterinary Surgeon
Antony graduated in 1998 from Onderstepoort, South Africa after studying and working as a Chemical and Industrial Engineer. In 2001 he and a friend started the partnership in the Portsmouth surgery. He is now also a partner in the Fareham and Collingwood surgeries. He has a special interest in exotic pets. Indeed at home he has snakes, a ridgeback and a border terrier.
Pablo Fuentes Bugnone BVSc, MRCVS
Joint Venture Partner and Veterinary Surgeon
I qualified in 2001 from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain. I landed in Lancashire soon after – in the midst of the foot and mouth disease outbreak. I started working on food hygiene with Eville & Jones Ltd. and then moved into small animal practice in 2005, settling in the south while working at the Portsmouth surgery. In 2009 I joined partnership with Antony and Mackie at Companion Care Fareham, and in 2011 with Lubo and Antony at Companion Care Collingwood. At home I have 2 rabbits and in my spare time I enjoy reading, walking in the countryside and travelling.

Katherine Woodhouse RVN
Head Veterinary Nurse
Katherine has been working in vet surgeries for over 7 years. She qualified in 2005 and has a particular interest in pet nutrition. She runs weight clinics at the Fareham surgery with much success – indeed one of her clients, a large cat with a dedicated owner, scooped Hill’s pet slimmer of the year in 2005. She has a number of pets: 2 rabbits, a cockatiel, a dog and a cat that has unfortunately only got half a tail after a nasty accident.
Natalie Woodgate RVN
Veterinary Nurse
Natalie has been in veterinary practice since 2002 and qualified in 2008 from MYF college in Aldershot. She has a particular interest for inpatient care and dental hygiene. At home Natalie has two cats Izzy (pictured) and Ella who like to wreck havoc then look completely innocent while asking for a cuddle!
Debbie Kill RVN
Veterinary Nurse
Debbie qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2004 from MYF in Aldershot, after previously working at Marwell Zoological Park. She has a keen interest in wildlife nursing and rehabilitation and feline aggression problems. At home Debbie has 3 rescue cats called Freddy Krueger (pictured), Edward Scissorhands and Luna, who Debbie hand reared from only a week old. All 3 have their own 'issues!' She also has 2 rescue Guinea pigs called Woody and Steve.
