Advanced services
We have invested considerably in our team and kit to make a number of advanced services available to our clients. We also accept referrals from other practices.
Orthopaedics and fracture repair
Our veterinary team have undertaken advanced training to allow us to perform orthopaedic surgery in our practice. If your pet develops an abnormality involving their skeleton or joints, such as elbow dysplasia, a patella (kneecap) that gets stuck, or a torn cruciate ligament, an orthopaedic procedure may help them.
Ultrasound
We are pleased to be able to offer ultrasound scanning in practice, which is a painless way to look inside your pet’s body to find out what’s going on.

Meet the team
I have been the partner at Chatham since we opened in September 2011 and have been privileged to meet lots of fantastic patients and their owners since. I have a particular interest in surgery and gained my British Small Animal Association Certification in small animal surgery in 2019 after several years of study.
Outside of work, I enjoy landscape photography and mountain biking, so can often be found tramping the countryside of Kent looking for a good spot for either of these.
Kate and I have two boys who keep us busy, our bouncy yellow Labrador Winnie and two noisy guinea pigs.
I qualified from the Royal Veterinary College, London, in 2004. I went straight into mixed exotics and small animal practice, completing the Cert AVP (ZM) at the Royal Veterinary College and Edinburgh university in 2010.
Since then I have continued working in general and referral practice developing special interests in small mammals, tortoises, rabbit dentistry and surgery.
I have also spent time teaching, both vets and vet nurses.
Outside of work I am a busy Mum of two boys, one Labrador and two guinea pigs, In my spare time I enjoy drinking tea, reading, cooking, gardening and travel.
I have worked at Companion Care Chatham since I graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2016. Becoming a veterinary surgeon was always my dream job and I am very grateful that I can enjoy it with such a friendly and supportive team.
In my spare time I try to stay active and have found a new love for home workouts. I have a range of artistic hobbies including origami, miniature painting and pyrography and spend most of my spare time trying to craft something new.

My name is Lizzy and I have been nursing now for twelve years and qualified for nine.
I have a cat at home who I rescued when she was kitten. I love my job and caring for all animals but have a huge soft spots for cats in particular!
I qualified as a vet nurse in 2005 after studying Veterinary Nursing Science at university. I love nurse clinics as my favourite part of the job is helping and advising people with their pets. Weight clinics are my main area of interest but I hope to be expanding the range of nurse clinics we offer. Outside of work I enjoy going to the cinema, keeping fit (sometimes) and I never tire of talking about my beloved cat, rabbit and range of hamsters and/or gerbils!
I qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2008 after studying at Hadlow College. I especially enjoy anaesthesia and inpatient care. When I’m not at work I’m kept busy by my two children and our cat Ollie. I also enjoy going to the theatre when I get a chance.
I started my veterinary nurse career back in 2006, where I started as a Kennel maid, then a year later I started my training to become a VCA - Veterinary care assistant. I then progressed to level 3 veterinary nurse diploma, which I completed in late 2015. Over the years I have worked in charity, emergency and hospital practices.
I joined the team at Chatham as an RVN in September 2017, where I have carried on my inpatient care and developed my skills in nurse clinics.
The area I enjoy the most is inpatient care, including care of senior patients.
I qualified in 2013 and quickly discovered a passion for emergency and critical care. I enjoy expanding my knowledge from nursing complicated cases, and bonding with my patients.
In my home time, I have two young children who I love to explore the world with.
I've been a Registered Veterinary Nurse since 2011. I enjoy all aspects of my work as no two days are the same. In my career I have gained two Certificates in Exotic Species and Emergency and Critical Care.
My name is Imogen. I am a Student Veterinary Nurse, in my final year of studying at the Kent School of Veterinary Nursing! I’ve been part of the team at Companion Care for almost 5 years now; being part of the team I have learnt, seen and been involved in so many incredible surgeries, medical treatments and of course the cuddles of all our client’s pet’s… I am looking forward to where my journey of Veterinary Nursing will take me next with my interest in hospitalisation care and exotics!
I qualified as a Veterinary nurse in 2005 after studying at London zoo for 2 years. I love all aspects of veterinary nursing but especially medical nursing and imaging. I am now Practice manager but still nurse from time to time.
Outside of work I enjoy going to the cinema, walking, gardening and looking after my cat, Lottie, 9 guinea pigs and hamster.
I joined the team at Chatham shortly after their opening, and have progressed to Head Receptionist. I have always had animals and currently own two large dogs and a cat, all rescues!
In my spare time I am normally found on the side of a rugby pitch watching and/or taking pictures of my three children or husband.
I first started with the practice eight and a half years ago, I have always had a passion for animals, especially dogs, and saw the opportunity as a dream job.
My name is Carly. I’ve worked in the veterinary industry since leaving school. First as a veterinary nurse before a break while my 2 children were young and returning to reception. I have had many pets over the years - terrapins, cats, dogs & horses.
I have been with the practice for 6 years and I have a passion for animals so helping animals is my dream job. I own a rescue ragdoll cat called Krystal who I adore. In my spare time I enjoy socialising with my family and friends and decorating my house which I share with my partner.
