The team are constantly reviewing and developing strategy to aid the development of individual surgeries and the business overall. The HR team will advise and support you with:

Employee resourcing: We recognise that the recruitment of your veterinary team is key to the success of your business. The HR team assists you with the entire recruitment and selection process including advertising in the most appropriate media, assisting with the selection and interview process and preparing and issuing contracts of employment and new starter documentation.

The team arranges all aspects of locum cover including contacting individuals and locum agencies, preparing contracts, insurance cover and arranging accommodation where necessary.

Employee relations: In the event of any employment relations issues (eg, disciplinary, grievance or performance), the team will assist youwith the correct process in line with our policies and procedures. The team is responsible for constantly reviewing and updating policies and procedures in line with employment registration to aid you  in successfully managing your employees.

Employee Reward: We carry out extensive research with regard to employee benefits to ensure we continue to offer an attractive benefits package to employees. The team constantly monitors market salary trends and makes recommendations to ensure that businesses remain competitive and to aid employee retention.

Employee Development: Continuous individual development is at the heart of the success of Companion Care. The HR team lisaises with individual surgeries to assess training and development needs for team members and develops programmes in line with requirements.

Administration: The team offers general HR administration support including monitoring sickness and absence levels, maintaining personal records, managing the maternity process and ordering uniforms. The full payroll function is administered by the HR team including the handling of all overtime and locum payments.

Throughout all of these processes the team's aim is to ensure that the business is compliant with current employment legislation.
