Meet the team

I graduated from Hanover Vet School in 1992. I moved to the UK in 1997 where I initially worked here at Horwich as a vet. In 2002 I was delighted to become a Joint Venture Partner at Bolton Companion Care, alongside Victoria and Jill. In 2022 I obtained a Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice from the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.
We look after all kinds of small animals, and my special area of interest is veterinary dermatology.
At home I enjoy the company of my cat Dave and in my spare time I like to read, travel or go horse riding.

I qualified as a Vet in 2001 from the Royal Veterinary College in London, though I’m originally from Manchester. Returning to near my home town, I’ve been part of the team at Companion Care Bolton since May 2007.
I am interested in all aspects of small animal medicine but I especially like being a familiar face to all our patients.
I live near the Peak District with my husband, 2 children and our cat, Tilly. I enjoy getting out in the countryside walking and running and I’m a recent parkrun convert! I also enjoy yoga, reading and attempting to improve my Spanish.

I qualified from Cambridge University Vet School in 2004. I started at Companion Care in 2018, having worked in a range of small animal and mixed practices before this.
Clinically I have an interest in internal medicine.
Outside of work I enjoy family time, woodwork and playing guitar.

I qualified as a veterinary surgeon in my native Sweden in 1998, worked there at a small animal hospital before moving to the UK in 2002. Have lived and worked around Manchester ever since with small animals. I recently moved to lovely Horwich and then to this lovely team.
Professionally I enjoy all aspects of medicine although my particular interests are dermatology and behavioural medicine where I have done a fair bit of studying especially in dermatology.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my partner and friends, going back to Sweden to see my family, holidaying both in the UK and abroad. I also love reading and hiking and also enjoy now and then high altitude hikes like Kilimanjaro, the Andes and the Himalayas for their extraordinary views!
Having lost my beautiful Irish setters I will at some point in future have another Irish or two. I have had other dogs, cats, rabbits and guinea pigs in the past.

Victoria Armstrong
Joint Venture Partner and Registered Veterinary Nurse
RVN
I qualified as a veterinary nurse in January 2000. After joining Companion Care in February 2000 I became a Joint Venture Partner in 2002.
I enjoy all aspects of veterinary nursing and love all animals, but ultimately see myself as a cat person. I have a particular interest in small animal behaviour.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my husband and 2 children. When time allows I like to visit the theatre. I have 4 cats named Elphaba, Nesarose, Todd & Phineas, after musical theatre characters.

I qualified as a veterinary nurse in 1990 and joined Companion Care in 1997, becoming a Joint Venture Partner at Bolton in 2002.
I have a keen interest in preventative health care and enjoy working in the operating theatre.
Outside of work Jill lives with her husband and hand reared rescue cat, and she spends her spare time riding and competing in dressage competitions.

I qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2004 and joined Companion Care Bolton in May 2006.
I love being a Veterinary Nurse and I enjoy seeing all our lovely patients in my Nurse clinics and as inpatients for surgery.
Outside of work, I have had various pets over the years including a cat, hamsters and rabbits. I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends.

Keeley qualified as a Veterinary nurse in June 2010. She joined Companion Care (Bolton) team in March 2016.
She enjoys nursing in-patients and assisting in the operating theatre.
Outside of work Keeley enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 daughters.

I have always wanted to work with animals, studying Animal & Equine Management at college. I joined the Companion Care Bolton team in July 2016.
I live in Manchester with my two children. In my spare time, I enjoy reading and baking lots of scrummy cakes which I often share with my work colleagues .

I joined the team in 2022, leaving retail to enjoy a job with animals and people.
I live in Hindley with my partner & 3 boys. I have quite a few pets, Willow & Bear who are both poodle crosses, 4 cats named Rogue, Ninja, Goose & Hunter, Onyx the chinchilla, Rosie the snake & Geko’s Luna & Blaze. In my spare time I enjoy walks in the woods with my dogs and spending time with my family.

I joined the team in 2023, having worked in customer service for many years and being an animal lover I felt this was the perfect fit.
I really enjoy my job, interacting with clients and patients whilst handing out plenty of treats.
I have a 5 year old dog called Sherwood and in my spare time enjoy long walks with him and spending time with my family.
