Riette Rahmeni MRCVS
Joint Venture Partner and Veterinary Surgeon
Riette qualified in 2001 in South Africa and has been living and working in the UK since 2003. She has a keen interest in small animal medicine and dentistry but likes general practise overall. Riette has lived in Peterborough for 5 years and together with her husband, they are the JVP partners in Companion Care Peterborough. They have a dog, Jack which is a friendly Labrador that has saved a couple of lives by being a blood donor and a grumpy Devon Rex called Spencer.
Oussema Rahmeni
Joint Venture Partner and Practice Manager
Oussema is a JVP partner with his wife and is the practice manager. He oversees the day to day running of the practice. His Tunisian inheritance makes him feel the cold British winters more than others. He has a keen interest in English literature and poetry. Oussema and Riette like spending their evenings in front of an open fire with their pets.
Adela Navarro MRCVS
Veterinary Surgeon
Adela qualified in Spain in 2002. She enjoys working with small animals and has a keen interest in orthopaedic surgery and neurology.
She lives with her partner, Rafa who is also a vet. They have 2 cats, the oldest is 17. She likes travelling and socialising with friends.
Augustin Segura MRCVS
Veterinary Surgeon
Vet Augustin has recently joined us at Companion Care after moving to the UK this year. Augustin qualified as a Vet in Spain in June 2007. He is particularly keen on surgery & at home in Spain has 5 Golden Retrievers.
Patrick Maubane
Head Veterinary Nurse
I qualified in Pretoria in 2002. I moved in the UK in the Spring of 2003. I have lived and worked in Peterborough some 7 years now. I joined companion care in 2006. I wear many heads here; but my main role is overseeing the nursing and reception team. I enjoy all aspects of veterinary nursing, but have a keen interest in client education and nurses’ clinics - i.e. nutrition, weight, behaviour, dental, diabetic et cetera. In my spare time, I read theology. I’m also an avid reader of history and politics. I love watching live athletics, therefore, I can’t wait for London 2012 – bring it on!
Jade Rowell RVN
Veterinary Nurse
Jade has 9 years experience in the nursing profession and qualified 3 years ago. She lives with her 3 cats, a dog, an African Grey parrot and her partner. She enjoys nursing intensive care patients and has a special interest in behavioural conditions in small animals. Her free time is spent walking her dog, Timothy, horse riding and socialising with friends.
Rachel Minett RVN
Veterinary Nurse
Rachel qualified as a nurse 7 years ago and enjoys all aspects of her work but with a keen interest in medical nursing. She has 3 West Highland white terriers that she enjoys walking and breeding when possible. However, at home her 18 month old daughter ‘Olivia’ keeps her busy. Rachel works at our surgery on the weekends.
Carla Green
Veterinary Nurse
Carla qualified as a vet nurse in 1997; she enjoys theatre work the most, nursing rabbits and is interested inbehaviour problems in dogs and cats. At home she has two cats, four guinea pigs and a Staffie Springer cross called Barney with whom she enjoys many lang walks! In her spare time she is learning to speak Italian.
Aimee Johnson
Nurse Assistant
Aimee joined us 2 and a half years ago and is a qualified animal assistant. She enjoys working with clients and supports the qualified staff a nursing assistant. Her favourite pets are rabbits of which she has 2 and also a friendly collie called Summer. Aimee is aiming to complete a veterinary nursing qualification in the future.
Joseph Wheeldon
Student Veterinary Nurse
I am Joseph Wheeldon, my colleagues call me Joe. I am a first year veterinary nurse student at the College of Animal Welfare. I currently have a rescue cat called Fidget. In my spare time I enjoy drawing, painting and snowboarding.
Yvette Williamson
Receptionist
Yvette is our morning receptionist and has worked for our surgery for 5 years. She loves working with the owners and knows most of the pets by name which attends the clinic. She is married and has 2 daughters and housefull of pets. Winnie the bulldog, Milo the galah, 2 rescue rabbits and Bubbles the 5 year old gold fish.
Leanne Dobrowolski
Weekend Receptionist
Leanne is currently studying for a degree in Veterinary Nursing at Nottingham University. She owns bearded collie dogs and a guinea pig called Herbie. In veterinary nursing she enjoys theatre work and in her spare time she enjoys going to the gym, and training her dogs.
